Minnesota Twins assistant general manager Rob Antony said SS Brian Dozier might be best suited playing second base in the majors, and the team will test him out there and at third base in the Venezuelan Winter League this offseason. Dozier committed 15 errors in the majors this year, which was the fourth most among major league shortstops. SS Pedro Florimon is hitting only .237 with five doubles, two triples and five RBIs in 29 games, but manager Ron Gardenhire likes him at shortstop.

Minnesota Twins SS Pedro Florimon Jr. came into the game Sunday, May 13, with a slash line of .285/.338/.401 with four homers and four doubles in 151 minor league plate appearances this year. "Not a big bat guy yet, but he has a chance to be one. He's a player, and he looks like he's going to be a pretty smooth guy up here," manager Ron Gardenhire said.

Minnesota Twins INF Brian Dozier is unlikely to make the team as a backup. "If he's staying, he's playing," manager Ron Gardenhire said. INFs Luke Hughes and Sean Burroughs are the favorites for the utility spot, but they don't have experience at shortstop. INFs Pedro Florimon Jr. and Michael Hollimon are firmly in the hunt for a roster spot.
