He is eligible to come off the 15-day disabled list May 31, but he has not yet resumed throwing, so it is likely he won't be back until at least June.

Fantasy Tip: Jay burst onto the mixed league scene this year with a .343 batting average in the early going. However, it sounds like the shoulder he injured banging into the outfield wall a couple weeks ago is a lingering issue. The team is likely to recall Shane Robinson to replace Jay. He has value in NL-only formats, but could make his presence known in mixed leagues if his plus speed turns into stolen bases.

He is not ready to hit, and he is having problems while throwing, too. X-rays showed no structural damage, but it's unclear what his availability will be moving forward. Jay received an injection Monday to alleviate pain, but he shouldn't be expected to hit earlier than this weekend.

He got the start in center field with OF Jon Jay (shoulder) sidelined, and Schumaker was lifted for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning.
