Arizona Diamondbacks RP Matt Reynolds (elbow) is scheduled to throw Wednesday, July 24, for the first time since suffering a slight tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow June 11. He'll eventually be re-evaluated and go on a minor league rehab assignment.

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed RP Matt Reynolds (elbow) on the disabled list with a strained left elbow and optioned SP Tyler Skaggs to Triple-A Reno. They recalled Ps Joe Paterson and Charles Brewer from Reno.

Fantasy Tip: Skaggs may be back at some point, but the highly regarded prospect is safe to drop in most single-year mixed leagues. We'll update on who Arizona selects as his rotation replacement.

Fantasy Tip: Target Bell immediately off the waiver wire. David Hernandez is a consolation prize, and he'll likely get a shot if Bell struggles. Matt Reynolds could enter the picture if both pitchers fail to get the job done.
