Houston Astros RP Fernando Abad, who was recalled Wednesday, June 15, comes back to the team with a new arm slot he learned at Triple-A Oklahoma City. Abad lowered his arm slot at Class AAA and help opponents to a .196 batting average and struck out 16 hitters in 12 2/3 innings.

The Houston Astros placed RP Brandon Lyon (biceps) on the 15-day disabled list with right biceps tendonitis Wednesday, June 15, and recalled RP Fernando Abad from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. Lyon allowed a home run in each of his three outings since coming off the DL June 9. He will likely undergo an MRI exam soon to see if this injury was related to his previous one.
