INFs Jerry Hairston Jr. and Russ Mitchell (wrist) took repetitions at third base with INF Juan Uribe still attending to a legal matter. Mitchell said his wrist is completely healed this year.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly plans to give SS Dee Gordon plenty of playing time throughout the final month of the season. "We're going to continue to see what he can do," Mattingly said. C Russ Mitchell, who was recalled Thursday, Sept. 1, will play some third base with 3B Casey Blake (neck) sidelined for the rest of the season. Mitchell is considered a super-utility player, and the team wants to see him play center field and catcher in winter ball.
