Cincinnati Reds pitching coach Bryan Price has removed his name from the running to become the next manager for the Miami Marlins. Price interviewed for the position Friday, Oct. 26, but instead he will remain in his position with the Reds.

Although Cincinnati Reds SP Homer Bailey has given up 18 runs in his last 19 2/3 innings of work, the team is ruling out fatigue as the cause of his woes. "We're working on a little bit of a glitch in his delivery. His arm has been feeling good," Reds pitching coach Bryan Price said. "His velocity is good. He gets a little bit long with his arm circle. It affects his release point. More than anything it's location mistakes."

The Cincinnati Enquirer's John Fay reports Cincinnati Reds pitching coach Bryan Price received a three-year deal. General manager Walt Jocketty said that the pitching coach would be involved in the pitching philosophy in the minors. Price worked with Arizona Diamondbacks SP Brandon Webb with his sinker, but he said he doesn't force the pitch on his staff.
