Cowboys | Dez Bryant back in end zone

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 17:29:49 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant racked up three receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown on five targets in the Week 14 win against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant has back-to-back touchdowns for the third time this season, and his 73 yards actually tied his most since Oct. 1. He is still looking for his first 100-yard game of 2017 and has been more of a WR2 in most fantasy leagues. The Cowboys meet the Raiders on the road in Week 15.

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 13:30:51 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant caught three passes for 72 yards and one touchdown against the New York Giants in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant has caught a touchdown in each of the last two games and has 60 or more yards in three of the last four games. He remains the team's main receiving target and can be a No. 2 receiver in most leagues in Week 15.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant sets record

Thu, 30 Nov 2017 20:49:43 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant became the franchise leader in career receiving touchdowns with 72, finishing with five catches for 61 yards and a score in a 38-14 win over the Washington Redskins in Week 13.

Fantasy Tip: The touchdown ended a five-game scoreless drought for Bryant, and he has still only topped 70 yards twice all year. Despite the touchdown, he remains a WR3 going forward.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant held in check

Thu, 23 Nov 2017 18:56:26 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant caught three passes on five targets for 37 yards in a 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers Thursday, Nov. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Aside from a two-catch, 12-yard performance in Week 3, this was Bryant's worst outing of the year. The Cowboys offense is a mess without Ezekiel Elliott, and even a healthy target total hasn't been enough to prop up Bryant's number. Up next is a rematch with the Washington Redskins, and Bryant managed just four catches for 39 yards the first time the teams met.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant draws 14 targets

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 21:14:54 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant caught eight passes on 14 targets for 63 yards in a 37-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant continues to draw plenty of looks, but he has only caught 50 of the 98 balls thrown his way and has yet to top 100 yards. His volume should keep him in the low-end WR2 range, but don't expect any big games.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 17, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant should be able to play in Week 11 and will be a big part of the passing game. He should be at least a No. 2 fantasy receiver in all leagues as long as he is healthy.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) will practice Thursday, Nov. 16.

Cowboys | No practice for Dez Bryant

Wed, 15 Nov 2017 10:02:23 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee, ankle) was not at the open portion of practice to the media Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant did not appear to suffer a setback in Week 10, so it is likely the Cowboys are just having him follow the same practice schedule he did last week. He managed only three catches for 39 yards against the Atlanta Falcons last week, and he'll need to be better this week if Dallas is going to hang with the Philadelphia Eagles. Consider him a risky WR2 for Week 11.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant shut down

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 21:15:31 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant caught four passes on eight targets for 39 yards in a 27-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant continues to draw plenty of looks, but he and Dak Prescott can't seem to find a consistent rhythm. He still doesn't have a 100-yard game this season, and it's probably best to view him as a WR3 ahead of the Week 11 meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant will be in uniform

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 12:18:05 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee, ankle) is officially active for the team's Week 10 game.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant ready for Week 10

Sat, 11 Nov 2017 21:39:17 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee, ankle) said he will be ready to play against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant has used a heavy workload to provide WR2 numbers most of the year, and it should be more of the same in Week 10, especially with Ezekiel Elliott sidelined.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant moving well

Fri, 10 Nov 2017 19:18:20 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (ankle, knee) was moving well during practice Friday, Nov. 10, according to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News.

Fantasy Tip: He may be a little less than 100 percent, but with Ezekiel Elliott suspended and a potentially higher-scoring game against the Atlanta Falcons on tap, Bryant looks like a volume-based WR2 for Week 10.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant listed as questionable

Fri, 10 Nov 2017 15:03:27 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee, ankle) was a limited participant in practice Friday, Nov. 10, and he is listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant was nicked up at the end of last week's game, and he hasn't put in a full practice this week. If he were to be inactive it would mean more targets for Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley and Brice Butler.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant expects to play Week 10

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 14:59:46 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (ankle, knee) said "at the end of the day, (you all) know I'm going to play," regarding his status for the team's Week 10 game Sunday, Nov. 12, against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: With Ezekiel Elliott's suspension back on, the Cowboys may be leaning on their air attack more than usual in their high-profile showdown this weekend. As long as that's the case, Bryant should post some very useful numbers in Atlanta for what should be a high-scoring affair despite the absence of Elliott.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant misses practice

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 14:09:59 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (ankle, knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor the situation to see if Bryant suffers any setbacks over the next few days. Bryant has not posted great numbers so far this season but is still a strong fantasy option in all leagues. He can be considered a solid No. 2 receiver this week.

Cowboys | No practice for Dez Bryant on Wednesday

Wed, 08 Nov 2017 09:56:41 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee, ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Team owner Jerry Jones indicated he did not know if Bryant could play in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons. If Bryant sits, expect the Cowboys to ride Ezekiel Elliott even more than they have recently - barring a quick resolution to his ongoing legal case. Jason Witten would be in line for more targets as well, while Terrance Williams, Brice Butler and Cole Beasley could all make cases to be worthy of fantasy starts in deeper leagues.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant banged up

Mon, 06 Nov 2017 13:48:44 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee, ankle) is considered day-to-day as he deals with knee and ankle injuries, according to head coach Jason Garrett. Garrett doesn't believe the knee injury is serious.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant toughed it out in Week 9 en route to six catches for 73 yards. It doesn't sound like Bryant is in danger of missing next week's contest. Despite a relatively disappointing 2017 campaign thus far, Bryant remains a must start.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (ankle) said Sunday, Nov. 5, that his ankle is just a little sore and bruised after the Week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant upgraded to full practice

Thu, 02 Nov 2017 15:18:55 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 2.

Fantasy Tip: One day after being limited, the soon-to-be 29-year-old was able to get in a full practice and will be good to go in Sunday's high-profile encounter with the Chiefs. As usual, he'll be an upper echelon WR1 in a game that should feature a healthy number of points.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant posts modest line

Sun, 29 Oct 2017 20:38:34 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant caught four passes on six targets for 39 yards in a 33-19 win over the Washington Redskins in Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant was facing his nemesis Josh Norman, but it was the dominant performance of Ezekiel Elliott that grounded Bryant as much as anything. He should be back in the WR2 conversation against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant ties the Bullet

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 19:16:02 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant posted seven receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers on a game-high 10 targets in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers. He tied 'Bullet' Bob Hayes for most touchdowns by a receiver in franchise history.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant hasn't had a dominant season, as he has failed to go for 100 yards in each of his six outings. However, he has found the end zone in each of the past two games and four of the past five. He remains a solid WR2 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 8 against the Redskins.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant finds end zone in Week 5

Mon, 09 Oct 2017 04:46:28 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant caught five passes for 52 yards and scored a touchdown in a 35-31 loss to the Green Bay Packers Sunday, Oct. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant's targets were down from a week ago, as he was targeted eight times as opposed to 13 in Week 4. That was likely a by-product of the Green Bay defense shadowing Bryant. Still, it was a good outing and Bryant remains a solid candidate to find the end zone.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant just misses century mark

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 17:22:51 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant hauled in five receptions for 98 yards in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant would have had an even bigger day if he and his quarterback connected more. Dak Prescott targeted him 13 times in the loss. He remains a solid WR2 heading into Week 5 against the visiting Packers.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant salvages MNF outing with TD

Mon, 25 Sep 2017 22:41:44 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant managed only two catches for 12 yards in the team's Week 3 victory Monday, Sept. 25, against the Arizona Cardinals. He did, however, get into the end zone for the second time this season.

Fantasy Tip: This was a rare off night for the former first-round draft pick, as he was targeted just twice by Dak Prescott all game. In his defense, the Cowboys only dialed up 18 pass attempts, so don't expect another low-volume game from Bryant like this one any time soon. Despite the lackluster stat line, Bryant can still be viewed as a WR1 for all formats.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant not worried

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 20:43:45 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant has nine catches on 25 targets through two games, and he said while that level of efficiency is "not acceptable," he believes the connection between he and QB Dak Prescott will start clicking.

Fantasy Tip: To be fair, Bryant has faced some tough matchups to open the year, and he draws another one in Week 3 against Patrick Peterson and the Cardinals. He is a boom-or-bust WR2.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant gets into the end zone

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 20:46:53 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant racked up seven receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Broncos and he was targeted a game-high 16 times.

Fantasy Tip: Dak Prescott tried to find Bryant frequently, but Aqib Talib and the Denver secondary did a fairly decent job of keeping Bryant from making a difference when the game was still close. He'll look to find the end zone again in Week 3 at Arizona on Monday Night Football.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant held mostly in check

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 22:05:33 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant was targeted nine times in Week 1 against the Giants, but he managed just two grabs for 43 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant was blanketed all night by nemesis Janoris Jenkins, and the Giants cover man won most of the battles. The mercurial receiver will look to get on track in Week 2 on the road against the Broncos, but he might also be shadowed by Aqib Talib in that one.

Cowboys | Dak Prescott in sync with Dez Bryant

Sun, 20 Aug 2017 19:08:29 -0700

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott said having WR Dez Bryant healthy all offseason has allowed their "chemistry" to grow.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant has been boom or bust in recent years, but he should still be treated as a high-upside WR2 or low-end WR1. Prescott has QB1 potential after an impressive rookie season, but the small sample size is something to consider.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant impressive in short stint

Sat, 19 Aug 2017 17:22:05 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant finished with two catches for 55 yards and a touchdown while playing only a couple of series versus the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, Aug. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant was in midseason form on the opening drive, throwing down a defender on a 23-yard slant to begin the game before grabbing a deep back-shoulder throw and power his way into the end zone to cap off the drive. The 28-year-old receiver should be able to perform like a low-end WR1 for most of 2017, but his schedule to begin and end the season will do him no favors in that regard.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant, Jason Witten sitting Wednesday

Wed, 26 Jul 2017 12:43:35 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant and TE Jason Witten will not participate in practice Wednesday, July 26. Head coach Jason Garrett said he wants the veteran players to have a regular schedule during training camp that will not wear them out.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant and Witten probably will receive days off during the regular season as well because the team wants them to stay healthy. Both players will have big roles in the Cowboys passing game in 2017. Bryant should be considered a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues, while Witten probably should be a low-end No. 1 or No. 2 tight end.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant misses conditioning run

Fri, 21 Jul 2017 14:33:27 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (illness) was three hours late for his conditioning run Friday, July 21, and did not run. Bryant said he has been dealing with a sinus infection and headaches recently and apologized to the coaching staff for being late.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant could miss the start of training camp but likely will be back on the field early in camp. He finished the 2016 season with 796 yards and eight touchdowns and has a chance to improve on those stats this season. He should be considered a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant locked in

Sun, 02 Jul 2017 17:28:55 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant was the best offensive player during OTAs and minicamp, according to ESPN.com's Todd Archer, and Archer said Bryant "caught everything that came his way."

Fantasy Tip: Bryant was a boom-or-bust play last year as he battled injuries, but he still managed to haul in eight touchdowns. Bryant has WR1 upside when healthy, so don't hesitate to scoop him off if he slips a bit in your draft.

Cowboys | Ryan Switzer working with Dez Bryant

Thu, 08 Jun 2017 19:13:27 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Ryan Switzer said WR Dez Bryant is his go-to guy for advice, and he is trying to emulate Bryant's ability to pull down contested catches.

Fantasy Tip: Switzer's biggest contributions in 2017 could come on special teams, but he has the potential to be a dangerous weapon from the slot. You can probably leave him on the waiver wire in redraft leagues, but Switzer should be stashed in all dynasty formats.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant feeling healthy

Thu, 01 Jun 2017 09:13:24 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant said the way that he's feeling right now has led him to believe that he's "not dealing with really anything." He added: "I feel damn good. I know once I'm 100 (percent), I'm hard to deal with. That confidence is just steady expanding. I'll tell you this, I've never been (more) ready for training camp."

Fantasy Tip: Bryant has missed 10 games over the last two seasons due to various injuries, but it looks like he'll be entering the new campaign with a clean bill of health for the first time in awhile. If Bryant can avoid landing on the shelf, he has a very good chance of returning to the form that allowed him to notch 85-plus catches, 1,200-plus receiving yards and double-digit touchdowns in three consecutive seasons. In other words, he'll have as high a ceiling as anyone at his position.

Cowboys | Janoris Jenkins owned Dez Bryant

Thu, 09 Feb 2017 18:39:31 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant was held to a combined two catches for 18 yards in two meetings with the New York Giants in 2016, and CB Janoris Jenkins said he knows all of Bryant's tendencies. "Take away the slant and the dig, and when they get in 21 personnel and Dez is inside the number, you take away the corner post, he doesn't have nothing else," Jenkins said.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ran hot and cold all year, but he still finished with eight touchdowns and 796 yards despite missing four games. He brings some risk, but he is well worth the gamble as a WR2.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant torches Packers

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 17:49:33 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant had nine catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-31 loss to the Green Bay Packers Sunday, Jan. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant was an all-or-nothing fantasy play for much of this season, but when healthy, he still showcased WR1 upside. If he slips a bit in 2017 drafts, he could end up being a steal for fantasy owners.

Cowboys | Jason Garrett plans to play starters

Tue, 27 Dec 2016 16:31:10 -0800

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said the "preliminary plan" for the team's Week 17 game against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, Jan. 1, is to play the starters who are healthy.

Fantasy Tip: Garrett has been maintaining this all along, so there should be no doubts that the starters will at least get some work in during the season finale. The question is exactly how much playing time the Dallas starters will receive, especially after the likes of Dak Prescott, Dez Bryant and Ezekiel Elliott were done after the third quarter Monday night, but that could be attributed to the contest being a blowout. Either way, all the regulars on offense will be risky plays.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant involved on three TDs

Mon, 26 Dec 2016 21:44:23 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (back) hauled in four receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 16 game against the Detroit Lions Monday, Dec. 26, and he added another on a 10-yard touchdown pass.
