Eagles | Sam Bradford not talking with coach

Sun, 01 May 2016 14:05:12 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has not talked with head coach Doug Pederson since asking for a trade, according to Pederson.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is expected to be the starting quarterback in 2016, but he is still upset that the team traded up for QB Carson Wentz. Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see what the Eagles will do at quarterback. Bradford likely would be a No. 2 quarterback in deeper leagues if he is with the team Week 1.

Broncos | Denver unlikely to pursue big-name QB

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 20:28:33 -0700

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford are unlikely to be pursued by the Denver Broncos after the team selected QB Paxton Lynch with the 26th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft, but Denver could still add a veteran quarterback at some point.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch is no lock to start as a rookie, and even if he does beat out Mark Sanchez for the starting gig, he would be a low-end QB2.

Broncos | DEN moving on from Sam Bradford

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 06:45:46 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is an option the Denver Broncos are moving away from because the Broncos don't believe the Eagles are willing to trade him, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is a mid-to-low QB2 with the Eagles but would receive an uptick with a move to the Broncos.

Broncos | Moving closer on Sam Bradford deal

Wed, 27 Apr 2016 19:51:47 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford remains a trade target of the Denver Broncos, and a league source said Wednesday, April 27, that the Broncos "are in" on the quarterback. Broncos general manager John Elway has spoken with Eagles general manager Howie Roseman about Bradford, although the team has not expressed a willingness to deal the signal caller.

Fantasy Tip: A move to Denver would be giant for Bradford's fantasy appeal, as he would have a better set of wide receivers in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, and a little more long-term stability. Stay tuned.

Broncos | Sam Bradford talks not in depth

Wed, 27 Apr 2016 12:27:07 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has not been discussed at length with the Denver Broncos. Denver has called regarding the quarterback, but no compensation has been discussed. The Eagles are still not inclined to move Bradford.

Fantasy Tip: Trade talks for Bradford could heat up over the next few days during the NFL Draft, but at this point a trade seems unlikely. Wherever he plays, Bradford should not be in the QB1 discussion.

49ers | San Fran not interested in Sam Bradford

Wed, 27 Apr 2016 09:31:36 -0700

San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said "there's been no talk internally" about trading for Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford. Bradford's agent, Tom Condon, has confirmed that Bradford has requested to be traded. Bradford's former coach, Chip Kelly, is the new 49ers coach.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has already made it known he has no interest in playing for Kelly again, so a trade to San Fran appears highly unlikely. With Philly trading up to the No. 2 overall spot to likely take a quarterback, Bradford is essentially a lame-duck QB in 2016. Even if, say the Denver Broncos traded for him, Bradford would be more in the range of QB2 territory.

Eagles | Sam Bradford not shy of competition

Wed, 27 Apr 2016 09:13:05 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford's agent, Tom Condon, said Bradford isn't afraid of competition. He wants out because the Eagles' quarterback situation has a pre-determined outcome where the No. 2 pick starts when ready.

Fantasy Tip: It would be interesting if Bradford landed in Denver, and that scenario could be the best place for his fantasy value. He'll be a QB2 in any locale for now.

49ers | Sam Bradford shuns San Francisco

Tue, 26 Apr 2016 17:50:02 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is not interested in playing for the San Francisco 49ers and head coach Chip Kelly, according to NFL Network's Jeff Darlington.

Fantasy Tip: The 49ers are one of the few remaining teams with an iffy quarterback situation. Colin Kaepernick could still stay with the 49ers, but it's not a guarantee. For now, none of Bradford, Kaepernick and Blaine Gabbert should be in the QB1 discussion, although Kaepernick and Bradford are high-end backup options.

Jets | Sam Bradford not of interest to Jets

Tue, 26 Apr 2016 17:39:17 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will not be pursued by the New York Jets, according to NFL Network's Jeff Darlington.

Fantasy Tip: Ryan Fitzpatrick's status remains in limbo, but New York apparently wants to avoid a potential Bradford trade altogether. Fitzpatrick is a better option anyway from a fantasy perspective, and he's a borderline QB1 if he stays in the Big Apple.

Broncos | Denver asked about Sam Bradford

Mon, 25 Apr 2016 19:03:05 -0700

The Denver Broncos asked about Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford, according to a prominent league source. According to a league source, the asking price from the Philadelphia Eagles was too high.

Fantasy Tip: It appears Bradford will be the starting quarterback in Philadelphia, but there is also a new twist and turn in the soap opera every day. Stay tuned.

Eagles | Sam Bradford still Philly's starter

Mon, 25 Apr 2016 14:41:23 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is still the Eagles' starting quarterback and the Eagles still support him, general manager Howie Roseman reiterated Monday, April 25.

Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen how long Roseman's sentiments will last. The Eagles are expected to take one of Jared Goff or Carson Wentz with their second overall pick. Bradford could have a better chance of being traded after that pick is made. As stated earlier, Bradford is still in backup quarterback territory no matter where he plays.

Eagles | Sam Bradford facing fine

Mon, 25 Apr 2016 11:29:18 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will be fined if he does not show up for minicamp. If he misses all of training camp, he'll surrender 25% of his signing bonus, and more if his absence extends into the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: This situation could get ugly if Bradford stands his ground. Drafting Carson Wentz could open the door more for a possible trade, though. It's unlikely that Bradford will be in QB1 territory wherever he plays in 2016.

Eagles | Sam Bradford requests trade

Mon, 25 Apr 2016 08:19:43 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has informed the team Monday, April 25, he's seeking a trade and will not show up to their offseason program any longer, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: There is some buzz that the Denver Broncos could become an option. He would have some upside in this scenario with the weapons at his disposal. However, he's still a QB2 in fantasy you could use on a starter's bye week.

Eagles | Sam Bradford willing to stay in Philly

Sun, 24 Apr 2016 21:02:32 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is upset about the team's trade for the No. 2 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, but he is prepared to stay and prove he is a franchise-caliber quarterback, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: While Philadelphia is expected to draft a quarterback, Bradford would still likely be the starter in 2016 if he remains with the Eagles. In that scenario, he would be a quality fantasy backup.

Eagles | Sam Bradford likely wants trade

Thu, 21 Apr 2016 13:16:07 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is expected to ask to be traded, according to a source, despite executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman stating that Bradford is still the starter. It was previously reported that Bradford is upset with the Eagles' trading up in the NFL Draft for what will likely be a quarterback.

Fantasy Tip: There is certainly merit to Bradford being upset in this circumstance. He was re-signed by the Eagles only to see them trade up for what they deem to be a future franchise quarterback. This situation will need to be monitored over the next few months. As has been stated before, neither Bradford nor the Eagles' likely rookie quarterback is worthy of starter consideration from a fantasy perspective.

Eagles | Sam Bradford upset about trade

Wed, 20 Apr 2016 16:19:50 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford was not happy after the Eagles traded up for the No. 2 overall pick, with which they are expected to draft a quarterback. Bradford is mad and wants to show everyone who is best, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Although, executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman said Bradford is still the starter.

Fantasy Tip: We'll see what happens when the Eagles draft Carson Wentz or Jared Goff, although most expect it to be Wentz. It will likely be Bradford and Wentz competing for the starting job, with Chase Daniel competing for the backup spot. None of them are immediate QB1s, however.

Eagles | Philly to pay high price for quarterbacks

Wed, 20 Apr 2016 12:09:12 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QBs Sam Bradford, Chase Daniel and likely one of North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz or California QB Jared Goff will cost the Eagles more than $42 million. Bradford is due $18 million, Daniel is due $7 million and Went or Goff will be due at least $16 million, including a signing bonus.

Fantasy Tip: It's been an interesting offseason for Philadelphia. They re-signed Bradford, brought in Daniel and then decided they still didn't have their franchise quarterback. Their quarterbacks will be deep, but their wallets will be shallow. Through it all, drafting any of them as a starting fantasy quarterback is ill advised.

Eagles | Sam Bradford remains the starter

Wed, 20 Apr 2016 11:38:20 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will remain the starter after the team acquired the No. 2 overall draft pick Wednesday, April 20, according to Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman.

"Let me be clear, Sam Bradford is our starting quarterback," Roseman said Wednesday. "We told Sam that. We intend to support him and the moves we made this offseason we believe will give us a chance to compete this season."

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is fragile and has never been able to consistently throw it deep, but there are pieces around him that could make him a decent bye-week replacement in the right matchup. Bradford is a low-end QB2 in fantasy.

Eagles | Sam Bradford staying put

Wed, 20 Apr 2016 11:17:12 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford isn't on the trade block after the team acquired the second overall draft pick Wednesday, April 20, in the opinion of NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Tip: If the Eagles select Carson Wentz or Jared Goff, it's likely they'll look to sit him out for a year or two before throwing him into the fire. The Eagles also picked up Chase Daniel in the offseason, which means the likely rookie pick would be the third-stringer. In this instance, Goff or Wentz would only have value in dynasty leagues.

Eagles | Sam Bradford playing for his future

Wed, 06 Apr 2016 20:27:35 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will likely be getting a one-year look from the team, as he is guaranteed only $4 million in the second year of his current deal. He got better as the season progressed in 2015, but the team visited the top quarterbacks in this year's draft, and inked QB Chase Daniel to a three-year, $21 million contract as a backup plan. The team can get out of Bradford's deal if it doesn't work out for $22 million total, and some team is likely to sign Bradford for $4 million in 2017 if he is released, offsetting a $4 million loss.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford will be playing for a payday in a new offensive system and with Daniel breathing down his neck. One of them will be around in 2017, and one will be wearing a different uniform. For now, Bradford is the starter and has some fantasy upside since he will be continually playing for a job from here on in.

Eagles | Sam Bradford the starter in Philly

Thu, 10 Mar 2016 12:31:38 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is the starting quarterback heading into the 2016 season, with QB Chase Daniel as the No. 2, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Fantasy Tip: It makes sense given the monetary commitment to Bradford, but Bradford's lack of production last year and injury history are red flags, and he could have a short leash. Pederson likes Daniel a lot, so he could see a chance before long. Regardless, neither QB is more than a midrange fantasy backup.

Eagles | Chase Daniel could start

Wed, 09 Mar 2016 14:26:57 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Chase Daniel will be given a chance to take away the starting quarterback job from QB Sam Bradford, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford re-signing didn't necessarily guarantee him his starting job back. While Daniel may not be viewed as talented a quarterback as Bradford, new head coach Doug Pederson still really likes him going back to their days with the Kansas City Chiefs. Whoever starts for the Eagles shouldn't be viewed as more than a backup fantasy quarterback, though.

Eagles | Sam Bradford to have more freedom

Fri, 04 Mar 2016 18:25:38 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will have more freedom at the line of scrimmage to change plays, and head coach Doug Pederson said he believes this will help Bradford improve in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: Draft Bradford as a QB2, but he could be a matchup-based starter in DFS formats.

Eagles | Sam Bradford deal has leeway in year two

Fri, 04 Mar 2016 10:18:47 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford's contract guarantees him $8 million in the second year, but $4 million of it is guaranteed for injury, and the other $4 million has offsets. If he struggles in 2016, the Eagles can get out of his contract.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is a QB2 in fantasy.

Eagles | Sam Bradford gets guaranteed cash

Tue, 01 Mar 2016 22:48:46 -0800

Updating a previous report, the new deal for Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is worth $35 million, with $26 million guaranteed. With his new deal he'll make $18 million in 2016 and could make as much as $20 million in 2016 with playoff wins. Bradford will carry a $12.5 million cap hit for the team in the upcoming season.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford struggled in his first season in Philadelphia, and as has been the case in his career, he missed time due to injury in another non-playoff season. He led his team to a 7-7 record in 14 games played last season, and that is actually the best record of his career.

Eagles | Sam Bradford contract details

Tue, 01 Mar 2016 16:05:43 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford's two-year deal includes an $11 million signing bonus and a $7 million salary in 2016. Guaranteed money includes $4 million of his 2017 salary and another $4 million for injury.

Fantasy Tip: It wasn't the worst day for Bradford, who signed a relatively hefty deal despite an underperforming 2015 season and an extensive injury history. Again, he should still not be drafted as your starting fantasy quarterback.

Eagles | Philly could still add quarterback

Tue, 01 Mar 2016 15:14:49 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford just signed a two-year deal, but that doesn't mean the Eagles won't consider signing or drafting another quarterback.

Fantasy Tip: Even if the Eagles do sign or draft an additional quarterback, Bradford will still be the starter. The depth behind him in Mark Sanchez and Thaddeus Lewis isn't the best, though. Nevertheless, don't draft Bradford as your first fantasy quarterback.

Eagles | Sam Bradford agrees to deal

Tue, 01 Mar 2016 13:27:36 -0800

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford and the Eagles agreed to a two-year, $36 million deal Tuesday, March 1, including $26 million guaranteed, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: It didn't take long for the Eagles to announce a deal with Bradford following the tag deadline. Bradford will stay in the City of Brotherly Love under new head and former NFL quarterback Doug Pederson. He disappointed early on last season, but Bradford played better over the latter part of the 2015 season. He will be in a new offense and does have an extensive injury history, however, and should not be regarded as a starting fantasy quarterback.

Eagles | No tag for Sam Bradford

Tue, 01 Mar 2016 13:13:11 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford did not receive a franchise tag or transition tag before the deadline Tuesday, March 1. Bradford and the Eagles are still working on a long-term deal, though, so he won't necessarily enter free agency.

Fantasy Tip: The free-agent period begins next week, so Philadelphia and Bradford don't have much time to hash out a long-term deal. If a deal is not agreed upon, Bradford will likely be the biggest name among quarterbacks in free agency. He should still be considered a backup fantasy quarterback, though.

Eagles | Philly's offer to Sam Bradford increases

Sun, 28 Feb 2016 12:25:57 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford's agent met with the Eagles this week at which point the Eagles upped their offer on a long-term deal for Bradford. The goal is to complete a deal before Bradford hits free agency, but a deal is not expected to get done until at least the anti-tampering period, however.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has already expressed interest in returning to Philadelphia, and the Eagles obviously want him back. If Bradford doesn't work out, the Eagles would have to rely on Chase Daniel or sign another quarterback. Even if he's re-signed, though, Bradford should not be viewed as a QB1.

Eagles | Philly to draft a QB?

Tue, 23 Feb 2016 13:26:53 -0800

With Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford set to become a free agent March 9, NFL Media draft expert Mike Mayock thinks the Eagles should make drafting a quarterback a priority this spring.

Fantasy Tip: The Eagles are in transition after firing head coach Chip Kelly and bringing in Doug Pederson, who is expected to run a much different offense. Bradford was pretty underwhelming in 2015 but could improve in a new system. However, he shouldn't excite fantasy owners too much wherever he goes, making him nothing more than a reliable backup.

Eagles | Philly still interested in Sam Bradford

Fri, 19 Feb 2016 20:59:36 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford will have to agree to a deal that works for the team if he is going to be back in 2016, according to executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is coming off a relatively solid season, and if he re-signs with the Eagles, he would be a strong backup quarterback for fantasy owners.

Browns | Cleveland an option for Sam Bradford?

Thu, 18 Feb 2016 14:37:34 -0800

The Cleveland Browns could decide to pursue Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford this offseason if he becomes available. The Browns had interest in trading for Bradford last offseason, but they're under new management and have a new head coach now. Cleveland can also draft a quarterback with the second overall pick, and they are expected to do so. The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot said the Browns are open to all options.

Fantasy Tip: A move to Cleveland for Bradford wouldn't be all that ideal for his fantasy value. Sure the Browns are optimistic now with new head coach Hue Jackson, but the weapons around Bradford in Cleveland aren't strong. Either way Bradford shouldn't be seen as anything other than a mediocre fantasy backup in 2016.

49ers | SF could pursue Sam Bradford

Thu, 18 Feb 2016 14:36:14 -0800

The San Francisco 49ers could end up pursuing Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford this offseason, but the Niners must first decide what they will do with QB Colin Kaepernick. Many believe that it's unlikely that Kaepernick returns. However, new 49ers head coach Chip Kelly wasn't so high on Bradford after the 2015 season, according to former Eagles scout John Middlekauff.

Fantasy Tip: The best scenario for Bradford's fantasy value would probably be for him to remain in Philly, even though he'll be working under an entirely new coaching staff. Either way, this situation is fluid, and there will be a lot of moving parts for Bradford in 2016. He's a backup fantasy QB, at best.

Texans | Sam Bradford unlikely to Houston

Thu, 18 Feb 2016 14:28:42 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is unlikely to land with the Houston Texans this offseason, as the Texans are focused on drafting their next quarterback in the first round, according to the Houston Chronicle's John McClain.

"They want to draft (a quarterback) in the first round. They're tired of using retreads. They played five this year, started four. Last year they played four and started three. So they need a quarterback, and they want one that they can develop," McClain said.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford's future is very much up in the air heading into 2016. The Eagles are under an entire new coaching staff, so they may prefer to continue on without him. Bradford is not only injury prone, but he hasn't been very consistent in his career, and he should be seen as nothing more than a backup fantasy QB in 2016.

Eagles | Sam Bradford receives endorsement

Wed, 17 Feb 2016 11:55:50 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford, an impending free agent, completed 68% of his passes and compiled a 97.0 passer rating from Week 8 on, throwing 10 touchdowns and four interceptions during that stretch, while winning four of seven starts. "It was clear at that moment that this was his team and he was going to take it over. Hopefully, we can get Sam here. I think everybody believes that he can be the quarterback and the leader that we need to take this team to a championship," Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins said.

Fantasy Tip: Just for comparison, Bradford passed for nine TDs and 10 interceptions during his first seven games. Bradford is a consideration for the franchise tag for the Eagles but has been one of the least durable players in the league throughout his career. Given the dearth of quality free-agent options and the lack of certainty Philadelphia can find a long-term starter at No. 13 in the NFL Draft, Philadelphia's best move might be to stick with Bradford, who should be a QB2 consideration for 2016.

Eagles | No franchise tag for Sam Bradford

Mon, 08 Feb 2016 13:10:03 -0800

Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will not receive the franchise tag.

Fantasy Tip: The Eagles are also expected to inquire about Nick Foles, so Bradford could be on his way out of Philadlephia, but that's not a sure thing just yet. If Foles does return to the city of brothrly love, he still wouldn’t be in the QB1 coversation.

Eagles | No decision on Sam Bradford

Mon, 08 Feb 2016 07:01:19 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford could have the franchise tag placed on him this offseason, but the team hasn't made a decision yet. If the Eagles use the franchise tag on Bradford, they will need to pay him about $20 million in 2016 once he signs the contract.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is a shaky QB2 in fantasy.

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford is not expected to receive the franchise tag this offseason, but the team is still interested in re-signing him, according to sources.

Thu, 04 Feb 2016 18:14:54 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson listed finding a "young quarterback" as one of the steps necessary for team to have success, which could mean QB Sam Bradford is not in the team's plans moving forward.

Fantasy Tip: It continues to sound like Bradford could be on the way out of Philadelphia, and if he leaves, it is possible that the Eagles will draft a quarterback early in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Eagles | Philly could draft quarterback

Wed, 03 Feb 2016 12:46:15 -0800

If Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford does not return in 2016, the Eagles could use a high draft pick on the position and look for a quarterback in free agency to help bridge the gap until that rookie is capable of starting, in the opinion of PhillyVoice.com's Jimmy Kempski.

Fantasy Tip: There's a lot that needs to play out this offseason in regards to the Eagles' quarterback situation. The Eagles may choose to start with a clean slate at quarterback, but if Sam Bradford doesn't return then they would almost certainly sign a free-agent quarterback and/or draft a quarterback.

Eagles | Sam Bradford unlikely to return?

Wed, 03 Feb 2016 12:32:34 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has a good chance of not returning to Philadelphia next season, according to Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com. Kempski said he would lean heavily towards Bradford not being re-signed.

Fantasy Tip: The needle seems to be pointing toward Bradford leaving the city of brotherly love this year. There are still a few months for that to come to fruition, but Mark Sanchez would be the next man up as far as their current depth chart stands, although, they would likely draft and/or sign a quarterback as Kempski alluded to.

Eagles | Lane Johnson endorses Sam Bradford

Sun, 31 Jan 2016 16:49:34 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles OT Lane Johnson said he thinks the team would benefit from re-signing QB Sam Bradford. "I definitely want him to say," Johnson said. "If you look at the last part of the year, Sam was doing really well. Completing a lot of passes and getting comfortable. Him staying here, him being familiar with the players, I think that would really help us out."

Fantasy Tip: If Bradford returns to the Eagles in 2016, consider him a high-end QB2 in season-long formats and a potential starting option in daily formats against friendly matchups.

Thu, 28 Jan 2016 21:25:48 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford could hit the open market if the team believes there is a franchise quarterback available in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is still a candidate to receive the franchise tag, or a long-term extension could be reached. If he is back in Philadelphia next year, he should be a solid QB2.

Eagles | Sam Bradford wants to stay in Philly?

Tue, 26 Jan 2016 09:56:19 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford would like to stay in Philadelphia, according to Eagles TE Zach Ertz. "I think he's excited," Ertz said. "He wants to be in Philadelphia." New head coach Doug Pederson said last week that Bradford is a top-notch quarterback that would fit his system well.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has been mostly a disappointment during his career, but he showed flashes and quietly produced his best season with the Eagles in 2015, especially to close out the year. He does fit well in Pederson's system, and it's likely the Eagles will make an effort to bring him back. If Bradford returns, he's a top-flight fantasy backup with room for more in the right matchups.

Eagles | Sam Bradford wanted $25 million annually

Wed, 20 Jan 2016 08:08:24 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford's agent asked the Eagles for $25 million annually in contract talks earlier this season, ESPN's Jim Trotter said on NFL Insiders.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has to prove that he can stay healthy and comfortable in the pocket before he's anything more than a backup in fantasy.

Eagles | Sam Bradford finished on strong note

Tue, 19 Jan 2016 13:40:19 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford completed 202 of 304 passes for 2,164 yards and 10 touchdowns while throwing just five interceptions in his final eight games of the 2015 season. Bradford has already been lauded by new head coach Doug Pederson, and Pederson believes Bradford would be a perfect fit in the system Pederson will implement.

Fantasy Tip: This all depends on if Bradford re-signs with the Eagles, of course. Bradford did stay healthy last season, which is something he hadn't done the previous two seasons. A new-look coaching staff and offensive system could help propel Bradford in 2016.

Eagles | Sam Bradford praised by new head coach

Tue, 19 Jan 2016 11:39:27 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is a top-notch quarterback in the opinion of new head coach Doug Pederson.

Fantasy Tip: Pederson's words seem to indicate that Bradford isn't going anywhere this offseason. Bradford could definitely improve under Pederson's tutelage, if he's able to stay healthy. Pederson is a former NFL quarterback and quarterbacks coach, which should have Bradford licking his chops for an improved 2016 season. For now, view Bradford as a QB2.

Eagles | Sam Bradford is Week 17 sleeper

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 22:47:26 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will face the New York Giants in the regular season finale in Week 17 against the New York Giants. The G-Men rank last in the NFL against the pass, allowing 297.9 yards per game with 29 touchdowns and 58 pass plays of 20 or more yards.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) will have interim head coach Pat Shurmur at the helm, and not Chip Kelly, but the offense should still have plenty of passing against a Giants pass defense which has been terrible this season. At a mid-tier price Bradford could be a steal in FantasyScore.

Eagles | Sam Bradford throws for 380 yards

Sat, 26 Dec 2015 21:18:46 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford completed 37 of 56 passes for 380 yards and a touchdown in a 38-24 loss to the Washington Redskins in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: The season hasn't exactly gone as planned, but he has thrown for 361 yards and 380 yards, respectively, in his last two games. He could cap the season on a high note against a suspect New York Giants defense in Week 17.
