Patriots | Key Patriots absent Thursday

Thu, 26 May 2016 15:17:29 -0700

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (foot), RB LeGarrette Blount (knee), RB Dion Lewis (knee), WR Danny Amendola (ankle, knee) and TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) did not participate in organized team activities Thursday, May 26.

Fantasy Tip: The Patriots are infamous for their vague injury reports and resting of players. Obviously they're going to take caution with the players listed above, though. As long as none of these guys suffer any setbacks this offseason, they should be good to go for the start of the regular season. Edelman and Gronk should both be viewed as fantasy starters at their respective positions, with more value in PPR formats. Lewis is an RB2 candidate in PPR formats if he can stay healthy, while Blount has RB3 potential if he, too, can keep his health. Amendola is the biggest injury risk; he shouldn't be viewed as more than a low-end WR4 to high-end WR5.

Patriots | More on LeGarrette Blount's contract

Tue, 12 Apr 2016 12:38:38 -0700

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount's one-year deal is worth up to $2 million -- $1 million in base salary and bonuses and $1 million in incentives, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Blount further clouds an already packed Patriots' backfield. Dion Lewis will be the primary running back when he's healthy, though. Blount could vulture a few touchdowns in 2016, but he's no more than a flex play, if that.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount financials

Tue, 12 Apr 2016 10:53:14 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount's one-year deal is worth a base of $760,000 and includes a $100,000 signing bonus, a $100,000 roster bonus and $1 million in incentives, according to a source.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount re-ups for one year

Tue, 12 Apr 2016 09:48:18 -0700

Updating an earlier report, New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount signed a one-year deal Tuesday, April 12.

Fantasy Tip: Blount returns to a backfield that doesn't have a lot of certainty. Dion Lewis (knee) is returning from a torn ACL, and he emerged as the lead back before he got hurt. Blount will have to share the load with him and James White, which makes Blount a risk at anything more than an RB4.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount re-signs with Pats

Tue, 12 Apr 2016 09:01:56 -0700

Free-agent RB LeGarrette Blount (Patriots) re-signed with the New England Patriots Tuesday, April 12, on an undisclosed deal.

Fantasy Tip: Blount returns to a crowded backfield with questions. The way the team uses its backs, it's almost anyone's guess as to who will be featured against which opponent. Blount still has RB3 potential, but he's safer as an RB4 with Dion Lewis (knee) returning and James White still there.

NFL | LeGarrette Blount good to go

Sat, 12 Mar 2016 12:51:17 -0800

Former New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (hip) is 100% healthy after suffering a chipped bone in his hip last season. Blount never underwent surgery and is good to go for organized team activities.

Fantasy Tip: He's good to go as long as someone signs him, that is. The days of Blount running for 100 or more yards and multiple touchdowns may be behind him, but he's still good enough to score at least a handful of touchdowns in one season. His fantasy value will be more specifically gauged once we know where he's playing next.

Patriots | New England could eye RBs in free agency

Wed, 24 Feb 2016 18:32:50 -0800

New England Patriots impending free-agent RB LeGarrette Blount and the team have shown mutual interest in a new contract, according to a source. Negotiations between the two sides are still in the "infant stages".

Fantasy Tip: Blount is unlikely to draw much interest on the free-agent market and finished last season on the Reserved/Injured List with a hip injury that didn't require surgery. Expect the Pats to move on from the 250-pound bruiser, who would be a RB3 at best if he returns to New England.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount will not require surgery

Wed, 27 Jan 2016 11:45:01 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (hip) will not need surgery on his season-ending hip injury, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Blount was lost for the season in Week 14 and placed on the Reserved/Injured List shortly thereafter. The 29-year-old, who led the Patriots in rushing with 703 yards and six touchdowns last season, will be an unrestricted free agent following the season. If New England chooses to bring him back, he should return as the early-down complement to Dion Lewis next season.

Patriots | New England likely to add at RB

Mon, 25 Jan 2016 21:06:41 -0800

New England Patriots RB James White played 57 of the 83 offensive snaps in the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos Sunday, Jan. 24, and RB Brandon Bolden played 16. RB Steven Jackson rounded things out with 11 snaps. The team will also get RB Dion Lewis (knee) back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in 2016, while RB LeGarrette Blount is an impending free agent. The team might face an offseason similar to 2011 when the selected a pair of backs in the NFL Draft.

Fantasy Tip: Lewis has the potential to be the top running back with this current group, with White and Bolden as solid backups. However, look for a rookie, and possibly a veteran running back, to be added in the offseason to provide competition.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount staying with Patriots?

Mon, 25 Jan 2016 13:50:08 -0800

New England Patriots impending free-agent RB LeGarrette Blount could be on his way out of New England as he enters free agency this offseason. RB Dion Lewis (knee) will return from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and RB James White filled in nicely for Lewis. The Patriots also have another big back on their roster in RB Steven Jackson, putting Blount's future with New England in limbo.

Fantasy Tip: Gone are the days of Blount rushing for hundreds of yards and multiple touchdowns. The Patriots do need a ground-and-pound type of running back, but Blount may not be the answer for the future. This situation will play out over the course of the next few months, but Blount may be heading for fantasy irrelevancy.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount placed on IR

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 14:19:20 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (hip) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Brandon Bolden ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) and James White ($5,200, 10.4%) figure to take over primary running back duties with Blount out. Bolden should do the ground and pound while White should continue to be mainly involved in the passing game. White, especially, is worth a long look on FantasyScore this week in a PPR scoring format.

Patriots | Week 15 Wednesday practice report

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 14:00:15 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (hip), LB Jonathan Freeney (hand) and FS Devin McCourty (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 16. SS Patrick Chung (foot), CB Justin Coleman (hand), LB Dont'a Hightower (knee), OG Josh Kline (shoulder) and WR Matthew Slater (stinger) were limited. DE Chandler Jones (abdomen) participated fully.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount could return

Tue, 15 Dec 2015 15:57:23 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (hip) could be back at some point during the playoffs. His timetable is unclear and the Patriots are still gathering information on his hip injury.

Fantasy Tip: Blount will still miss the last three games of the regular season, so James White and Brandon Bolden will be the only relevant fantasy running backs on the Patriots. White ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) has more value in PPR scoring formats like FantasyScore, while Bolden ($2,400, 4.8%) should receive most of the carries.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount out for the year

Tue, 15 Dec 2015 15:11:02 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (hip) is out for the rest of the season with a hip injury, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Patriots are now down to Brandon Bolden ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) and James White ($5,200, 10.4%) to head their backfield, with Montee Ball likely backing them up. Bolden should be the primary runner going forward while White should continue to be primarily used in the passing game. Unfortunately, the Patriots play the Tennessee Titans in Week 15, who have been a top fantasy defense against running backs this year. New England's backfield may be one to avoid.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount to miss time?

Tue, 15 Dec 2015 07:45:15 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (hip) could miss some time, according to sources, but nothing is definitive yet.

Fantasy Tip: James White ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) looks like the go-to back against the Tennessee Titans this week. He's a decent midrange grab on FantasyScore.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount out for game

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 18:35:09 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (hip) left the Week 14 game against the Houston Texans in the second quarter due to a hip injury and he will not return.

Fantasy Tip: With Blount on the shelf it will be Brandon Bolden and James White working in the New England backfield for the second half.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount doesn't do much

Mon, 23 Nov 2015 22:44:59 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount carried 16 times for 56 yards in the Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills Monday, Nov. 23. He also had one catch for five yards.

Fantasy Tip: It was a disappointing game for Blount and his FantasyScore owners, and when the Pats had the ball in the red zone and ran it was James White punching it in, not Blount.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount leads snap count

Mon, 16 Nov 2015 06:27:12 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount played 38 snaps (52% of the offense) Sunday, Nov. 15. RB James White played 28 snaps (38% of the offense) against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: These two will probably be interchangeable some weeks, but Blount looks to be the leader of the backfield for now.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount dominates touches

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 18:13:37 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount had 19 carries for 66 yards and a touchdown and two catches for 11 yards in a 27-26 win over the New York Giants in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Blount ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) actually had the most catches of any of New England's running backs, and with Dion Lewis out of the picture, it looks like Blount should be a much safer option at FantasyScore going forward.

Patriots | Pats backfield to remain committee approach

Mon, 09 Nov 2015 14:11:34 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount's role will certainly increase with RB Dion Lewis (knee) out for the year, but the Patriots will remain a committee attack based on matchups and game situations. RB Brandon Bolden took over the pass-catching duties when Lewis was hurt in Week 9, but RB James White is closer to replicating Lewis' role when the game calls for an up-tempo attack. White was a healthy scratch in Week 9. White played 43 snaps to Blount's eight and Bolden's zero in Week 7 when Lewis was hurt.

Fantasy Tip: As you should know by now, relying on a single ball carrier in New England's backfield is maddening and will change on a week-to-week basis based on matchups and game flow. With Lewis out for the year, though, White should be your first target in deeper point-per-reception leagues, and he could immediately be a nice sleeper on FantasyScore against the New York Giants in Week 10.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount has 100-yard day

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 14:28:23 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount rushed 29 times for 129 yards in a 27-10 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Blount ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) looks like he could be a bargain for the moment, although his price could rise with RB Dion Lewis potentially out due to a knee injury. He will definitely be the No. 1 back going on unless something major happens.

Patriots | Dion Lewis to be game-time decision?

Wed, 28 Oct 2015 12:21:58 -0700

New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis' (abdomen) status for the Week 8 game against the Miami Dolphins Thursday, Oct. 29, remains up in the air, and head coach Bill Belichick said the team will find out Thursday if he can play. RB James White played 64% of the snaps in Week 7 to RB LeGarrette Blount's 12% as the Patriots went with a spread offense.

Fantasy Tip: Even if Lewis ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) plays, he could find his snaps limited with White filling in against the Dolphins. It's already difficult enough to predict New England's backfield utilizations on a week-to-week basis as it is. Lewis is a pretty risky daily pick this week.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount a non-factor

Sun, 25 Oct 2015 16:31:29 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount was on the field for just six snaps against the New York Jets in Week 7, finishing with minus-3 yards on three carries.

Fantasy Tip: Even with Dion Lewis sidelined, Blount ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) was barely used as the Patriots countered the stout defensive front of the Jets with a pass-heavy approach. Blount is a matchup-dependent option at FantasyScore.

Patriots | Two TDs for LeGarrette Blount

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 22:29:07 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount carried 16 times for 93 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts. He also added an 11-yard touchdown reception, his first scoring catch in the NFL.

Fantasy Tip: Blount ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) has very good numbers against the Colts, so you know the Hoodie was exploiting that. Blount still has Dion Lewis ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) to contend with for touches in the Patriots backfield, but Blount could be the better value going forward.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount runs wild

Sun, 27 Sep 2015 16:16:39 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount had 18 carries for 78 yards and three touchdowns in a 51-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Blount ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) had 10 more carries than Dion Lewis ($5,300, 10.6% of cap), and unfortunately for fantasy owners, it is going to be tough to predict which back is the one to own at FantasyScore depending on the week.

Patriots | Dion Lewis a focal point of offense

Mon, 21 Sep 2015 11:37:59 -0700

New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis had 138 yards from scrimmage in the Patriots' Week 2 win over the Buffalo Bills, which included six catches for 98 yards. Many of Lewis' catches came with him lined up at receiver, and he continued to play notable snaps after fumbling. RB LeGarrette Blount had just two carries in the game.

Fantasy Tip: Don't expect Blount ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) to have that few carries each week, and the running back usage was likely a big result of the matchup against Buffalo, too. Regardless, Lewis ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is easily the most dynamic back in the New England backfield and is very useful in point-per-reception leagues. You can't argue with that FantasyScore value on a week-to-week basis, either.

Patriots | Dion Lewis dominates snaps

Mon, 21 Sep 2015 05:51:39 -0700

New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis played 73 of 86 offensive snaps Sunday, Sept. 20, in Week 2. RB LeGarrette Blount played just seven snaps.

Fantasy Tip: Lewis ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) had 40 yards rushing and six catches for 98 yards receiving. Tom Brady threw 59 times, which is the second-highest of his career. Lewis is the top receiving back, which explains why the split was so drastic. Blount ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) could have a chance to shine on FantasyScore against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount, Dion Lewis to share?

Tue, 15 Sep 2015 16:16:20 -0700

New England Patriots RBs LeGarrette Blount and Dion Lewis could form a 50-50 split at running back in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills. Blount has scored 14 touchdowns in 12 games since late 2013 and is the team's best goal-line option. He figures to be heavily involved in the backfield moving forward. Lewis has taken over the role as the third-down back but is also capable of playing early downs. When the Patriots have faced stout run defenses like the Bills, they have often given more touches to the change-of-pace running back.

Fantasy Tip: Blount ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) is the Pats running back to own in standard leagues, while Lewis' ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) value lies in point-per-reception formats. It'll be interesting to see how the touches play out in Week 2, but a stout Buffalo defensive front could make things even tougher for both Blount and Lewis to put up points for their owners.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount activated

Sat, 12 Sep 2015 14:38:25 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount was activated from the suspended list Saturday, Sept. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Blount ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) may not be a big factor after Dion Lewis' impressive Week 1. Blount will have a tough matchup against the Buffalo Bills and probably isn't a good FantasyScore option in Week 2.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount's MRI is negative

Mon, 10 Aug 2015 13:14:11 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount's (knee) MRI on his injured knee was negative and the image did not show any structural damage, according to a source. Blount ran hill sprints Monday, Aug. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Blount has a little extra time to heal since he'll be suspended for the first regular season game anyway. If he's running hill sprints he should be able to go for the second game. Blount is slated to be the Patriots' starting running back, and he has produced when called upon. He has RB2 potential, but it's safer to draft him as a RB3.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount sitting out

Sat, 08 Aug 2015 07:11:10 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (knee) is not participating in practice Saturday, Aug. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Blount is expected to miss a few weeks because of a sprained medial collateral ligament. Owners should monitor the situation to see when he will be able to play again. Blount could be a middle-round option in drafts if he is ready for the regular season since he should see a majority of the carries.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount has sprained MCL

Sat, 08 Aug 2015 05:09:55 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (knee) has a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee, according to sources. Blount is expected to be ready for the beginning of the regular season, though. RBs Jonas Gray and Brandon Bolden stand to receive more carries with Blount sidelined.

Fantasy Tip: Remember Blount is suspended for Week 1 of the regular season, so if expectations prove ture, he'll be ready for a cushy Week 2 date with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The New England backfield is often tricky to project from week to week, but Blount should still be viewed as a potential third running back with the potential to be a low-end weekly starter in standard formats. It isn't out of the question to drop him down a tier in your rankings, though. Gray and Bolden are nothing more than late-round fliers, but they're worth watching over the next month, as they could be FantasyScore options early in the season. Travaris Cadet, James White and Dion Lewis are also competing for touches in the crowded backfield. Don't be surprised if Cadet has the best return for investment in seasonal PPR formats this season.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount leaves practice

Fri, 07 Aug 2015 12:37:54 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (knee) left practice early Friday, Aug. 7, because of an apparent injury. Blount limped off the field and appeared to be favoring his right knee.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should keep an eye out for an update on Blount's status in the near future. He could sit out the first preseason game to allow the injury to heal. He is expected to receive a majority of the carries this season and could be a middle-round option in drafts.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount practicing

Sat, 01 Aug 2015 07:10:44 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (undisclosed) is participating in practice Saturday, Aug. 1.

Fantasy Tip: Blount started camp on the Non-Football Injury list but was able to pass his conditioning test. Blount should receive a majority of the carries this season and could be a middle-round draft choice even though he will miss the first game of the season.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount fails running test

Thu, 30 Jul 2015 09:59:45 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount was placed on the Non-Football Injury list because he was not able to complete the conditioning test at the start of training camp. Players have to run 20 sprints of 50 yards in under eight seconds to pass the test, but Blount was only able to complete 12 reps.

Fantasy Tip: Blount likely will be activated at some point during camp when he improves his conditioning. Blount is the leading candidate to receive most of the carries this season and could be a middle-round option in drafts if he is in good shape.

Wed, 29 Jul 2015 15:47:36 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (undisclosed) was placed on the Non-Football Injury list Wednesday, July 29.

Fantasy Tip: Blount is already suspended for the first game of the season, and he is expected to be available for the remaining 15 games. He should be the Patriots' lead back after Week 1 and is worth at least drafting as a RB3.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount suspended

Tue, 07 Apr 2015 13:56:07 -0700

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount has been suspended for the 2015 NFL regular-season opener.

Fantasy Tip: As it stands, there's no telling who could be the main beneficiary in Week 1 for the Patriots. Travaris Cadet will probably have the most value in point-per-reception leagues, while Jonas Gray seems like the better play from a standard scoring perspective.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount has charges withdrawn

Fri, 30 Jan 2015 07:41:18 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount completed his 50 hours of community service, and his drug charge from earlier this season has been withdrawn, according to his attorney.

Fantasy Tip: Looking ahead to Sunday, Blount ($7,777; 15.5% of your cap) is a risky pick on FantasyScore when Marshawn Lynch is the same price. It's very possible the Pats use Blount to wear down the Seattle Seahawks defense. However, we'd much rather have Lynch at an equal price.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount to have big role?

Tue, 27 Jan 2015 17:00:40 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount should be a factor in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, Feb. 1, in the opinion of Boston Herald writer Karen Guregian. Despite Seattle's highly ranked run defense, they lost games earlier this season to both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Dallas Cowboys, who used run-heavy game plans. The Green Bay Packers also had early success on the ground against the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game. The Packers opened up holes by overloading lanes with pulling linemen, which is something the Patriots like to do with their guards and tackles. If the Patriots stay away from the run, Seattle's linebackers will drop back in zone coverage, making it tougher on the Patriots' passing game.

Fantasy Tip: The Patriots ran the ball just 14 times against the top-ranked run defense of the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the playoffs, but using Blount on the ground against Seattle should help open the passing game against the Seahawks’ tough secondary. The run game could also be used to exploit injured FS Earl Thomas (shoulder).

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount has outstanding performance

Mon, 19 Jan 2015 09:37:24 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount ran for 148 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries in the team's win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 18. "He makes contact on every play and seems to enjoy it. He's like a boxer throwing body punches. Eventually, he wears guys down and starts breaking those big runs," OG Ryan Wendell said. Blount played 42 offensive snaps in the game, passing his previous season high of 30. He also ran for 69 yards after contact against the Colts, according to ESPN Stats and Information.

Fantasy Tip: Blount has been the power back that the Patriots have needed down the stretch, but it's too hard to say how valuable he'll be in New England for fantasy owners next season, especially the way Bill Belichick changes up his backfield usage on a game-by-game basis.

Colts | Pats have run all over Colts

Tue, 13 Jan 2015 09:13:03 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount ran for 166 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional matchup between the two teams in 2013, and RB Jonas Gray slashed Indy for 201 yards on the ground this past November. The Patriots used an offense that featured a power-back look with a sixth offensive lineman against the Colts in November. "As a defensive player, you don't want to ever have that happen again," Colts DE Cory Redding said. "We didn't have our best game. It's up to us to do what we've done the past few weeks, to make sure that never happens again." New England rushed for just 14 total yards in their divisional win over the Baltimore Ravens last weekend, but they pretty much abandoned the run in the second half.

Fantasy Tip: Don't expect a repeat performance for Gray ($3,400, 6.8% of cap), who has fallen down the running back depth chart. Gray didn't even have a single carry in last weekend's game. It's always dicey going with a Patriots running back at FantasyScore, but this might be the week to put faith in Blount ($4,500, 9.0% of cap).

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount in line for big game?

Mon, 12 Jan 2015 21:10:07 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount ran for 166 yards and four touchdowns against the Indianapolis Colts in the playoffs last year, and RB Jonas Gray ran for 201 yards and four scores in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Indianapolis has had major issues stopping New England's power running game recently, and if Gray is inactive again this weekend, Blount could be a sneaky play at FantasyScore.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount taken off injury report

Thu, 08 Jan 2015 14:42:11 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (illness) was removed from the team's injury report Thursday, Jan. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Blount should be good to go this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens were one of the best defenses against the run in 2014, however, making Blount a less than attractive option at $4,500 (9.0% of cap) on FantasyScore.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount limited Wednesday

Wed, 07 Jan 2015 13:10:59 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (illness) was limited in practice Wednesday, Jan. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Blount ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) should be ready to play this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens. He's a weak FantasyScore play, though, since the Ravens were one of the best run-stopping units in all of football this season.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount questionable

Fri, 26 Dec 2014 14:38:05 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 26, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: It is not known if Blount will dress for the game, so owners will need to check the inactive list before deciding on their lineup. Blount may not be the best option to use since the team has already clinched the top seed and could limit his playing time.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount limited

Thu, 25 Dec 2014 13:30:17 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 25. The Patriots did not practice Thursday, so this is an estimation.

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount limited Wednesday

Wed, 24 Dec 2014 14:31:32 -0800

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Check back on Blount's status Friday when the official injury report comes out. The Bills rank 13th in the NFL against the rush, and it's uncertain if the Patriots will rest players since they have the No. 1 seed already sewn up. It might be best to shy away from Blount for FantasyScore purposes just to be on the safe side.
