Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon said Tuesday, Sept. 20, that either SP Matt Moore or Alexander Torres will start the game Saturday, Sept. 24. "We're talking about (which of the two it will be)," Maddon said. "We have to adjust things a bit within the bullpen to fill that day up. We're not ready to reveal exactly what we're doing, but we're talking about it."

Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon said Saturday, Sept. 10, that recalling SP Matt Moore remains "a possibility" before the end of the season. The team will need a starter for the doubleheader Sept. 21 against the New York Yankees. SP Alexander Torres is also a possibility.

The Tampa Bay Rays placed C Jose Lobaton (knee) on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained ligament in his left knee Monday, July 18. In corresponding moves, the team recalled C Robinson Chirinos and SPs Alexander Torres and Alex Cobb and designated RP Adam Russell for assignment. Also, RP Juan Cruz (groin) was placed on the DL with a strained right groin.
