Texas Rangers 1B Mitch Moreland (ankle) was placed on the disabled list Tuesday, June 10. The Rangers have purchased the contract of OF Brad Snyder from Triple-A Round Rock to replace Moreland. Snyder is batting sixth and playing first base against the Miami Marlins.

The Texas Rangers are in the mix to sign free-agent 1B Kendrys Morales (Mariners) now that a draft pick is no longer attached to him, according to two baseball sources. 1B Mitch Moreland is currently hitting only .133 against left-handers on the year. Morales has been working out on his own as he awaits a team to sign him.
Fantasy Tip: The Rangers have been in the mix all along, really. Morales should be expected to sign with a club very soon, if not by the end of the weekend. Grab him and stash him now before it's too late.
