The Houston Astros have agreed to terms with Ps Matt Nevarez and Henry Villar and IF Jose Vallejo, according to The Houston Chronicle's Bernardo Fallas. Each of the three players signed one-year split contracts worth $400,000 if they make the parent club.

The Sports Network reports Houston Astros IF Jose Vallejo (hand) underwent surgery on the fourth and fifth fingers of his right hand Wednesday, Feb. 10. He will be out for roughly six months.

MLB.com's Alyson Footer reports Houston Astros IF Jose Vallejo (hand) will undergo surgery Wednesday, Feb. 10, to fix severed tendons in the fourth and fifth fingers of his right hand. He will miss the entire 2010 season. Vallejo suffered the injury while preparing dinner during Christmas.

Robert Emrich, of MLB.com, reports Houston Astros OF Jonathan Gaston hit a three-run home run and IF Jose Vallejo hit a home run and drove in four runs in the Arizona Fall League Thursday, Nov. 5. It was Gaston's second home run in the AFL. Vallejo had four hits in the game.
