"Don't ask. Please. I have no clue. I just told you that. There's no sense searching. I have no clue. I keep trying to make that perfectly clear to you guys, but you keep searching. I have no clue who's going to start. None." Ps Andrew Oliver and Casey Crosby are both options to be recalled.

He walked one and struck out seven as he tries to win the No. 5 rotation spot. Smyly is competing with SPs Andrew Oliver, Duane Below and Adam Wilk. Smyly has a 1.13 ERA in eight innings this spring, which is tops among the four candidates.

"I was just a little bit out of rhythm, a little bit too slow, trying to go through my mechanics. The rhythm was too slow trying to get everything to sync up. That was probably the biggest thing. ... My body was going a little too quick for my arm," Oliver said. He has a history of command problems; he walked 80 batters in 147 innings with Triple-A Toledo last season.
