Yankees | Seeking bat for players on block

Wed, 17 Jul 2013 11:55:53 -0700

The New York Yankees are trying to peddle SP Phil Hughes, RP Joba Chamberlain and C J.R. Murphy, a prospect, in order to upgrade their offense, but they haven't had any luck so far, according to ESPN and MLB Network Radio's Jim Bowden. Bowden believes the Minnesota Twins would have no interest in those players for 1B Justin Morneau, who is available to trade.

Fantasy Tip: And Bowden is spot on. The Yanks are probably going to have to dig a littler deep if they want to add a significant bat, unless perhaps they do something like bring back 2012 hero Raul Ibanez.
