Texas Rangers 3B Mike Olt (foot) will play third base and the outfield in the Dominican Republic Winter League this offseason. He was bothered by plantar fasciitis in his left foot toward the end of the season. He'll share time at third base with Cleveland Indians 3B Lonnie Chisenhall. SS Jurickson Profar and P Chad Bell are expected to join Olt in the Dominican.

Texas Rangers P Chad Bell started the season with Class A Myrtle Beach, but he has rapidly ascended the organizational ladder to Triple-A Round Rock. He is 2-0 with a 0.72 ERA in his first two starts with Round Rock.

The Associated Press reports the Texas Rangers have signed three draft picks - P Chad Bell (14th round), P Shawn Blackwell (24th round) and OF Riley Cooper (25th round).
