The Associated Press reports the Pittsburgh Pirates signed P Zack Von Rosenberg (sixth round) to a $1.2 million deal Sunday, Aug. 9, making him the highest paid draft pick below the first round. He is expected to report to rookie league Bradenton as early as Tuesday, Aug. 11.
