Dave Roberts will serve as the new first base coach and Rick Renteria will move to bench coach, with former bench coach Ted Simmons not returning. Bullpen coach Darrell Akerfelds, pitching coach Darren Balsley, third base coach Glenn Hoffman and hitting coach Randy Ready will all return.

However, the Toronto Blue Jays have received permission to interview him for their managerial opening. Special assistant Dave Roberts will serve as the team's first base coach next year.
