Rockies | No Charlie Blackmon vs. Orioles

Wed, 27 Jul 2016 12:52:52 -0700

Colorado Rockies OF Charlie Blackmon is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, July 27. 2B DJ LeMahieu is leading off, and OF David Dahl is batting second against Baltimore Orioles SP Dylan Bundy Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Sub out Blackmon where you can in seasonal leagues. There isn't a lot of fantasy impact to LeMahieu jumping into the leadoff spot, but Dahl hitting second boosts his value. Dahl is 2-for-8 to start his career, and he's worth adding in deep leagues while being a player to watch in all formats.

Rockies | DJ LeMahieu rolling since return

Thu, 07 Jul 2016 21:12:20 -0700

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu went 3-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored in an 11-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Thursday, July 7, and he has four multi-hit efforts in six games since returning from a knee injury.

Fantasy Tip: LeMahieu has his average up to .336, and his contributions in batting average and runs scored should have him starting in all formats.

Rockies | DJ LeMahieu back in there

Sat, 02 Jul 2016 16:39:16 -0700

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu (knee) returned to the lineup Saturday, July 2, hitting second.

Fantasy Tip: LeMahieu has been out of the lineup a few days, but he's a daily consideration against Scott Kazmir.

Rockies | Trevor Story, DJ LeMahieu day-to-day

Fri, 01 Jul 2016 16:37:13 -0700

Colorado Rockies SS Trevor Story (finger) said his finger still needs time to heal, but it isn't a disabled list situation. 2B DJ LeMahieu (knee) is in a similar boat and is day-to-day.

Fantasy Tip: Story and LeMahieu are both dealing with nagging injuries but could return at anytime this weekend. Story, in his rookie season, has been extremely impressive and has been one of the more productive fantasy shortstops. LeMahieu continues to hit for average and can steal bases, too. Both players should be immediately returned to starting lineups when they're back in there.

Rockies | Trevor Story, DJ LeMahieu resting

Fri, 01 Jul 2016 15:52:36 -0700

Colorado Rockies SS Trevor Story and 2B DJ LeMahieu are not in the starting lineup Friday, July 1. SS Cristhian Adames is starting at the 6 and is hitting second, while 2B Daniel Descalso is starting at second base and batting sixth against Los Angeles Dodgers SP Bud Norris.

Fantasy Tip: Adames and Descalso don't have much offensive upside, but Descalso has been hot of late and is hitting .385 on the season in limited opportunities. Both are nothing more than deep sleepers in DFS formats, though. Story and LeMahieu both dealt with nagging injuries earlier this week and could still be bothered by them. Check back for updates on their status moving forward.

Rockies | Three Rockies regulars out

Wed, 29 Jun 2016 10:22:15 -0700

Colorado Rockies SS Trevor Story, 2B DJ LeMahieu (knee) and C Nick Hundley are all out of the starting lineup Wednesday, June 29. SS Cristhian Adames is starting at the 6 and hitting second, 2B Daniel Descalso is at second and batting sixth and C Tony Wolters is doing the catching and hitting eighth against Toronto Blue Jays SP Aaron Sanchez.

Fantasy Tip: Story and LeMahieu have been dinged up lately. Story returned to the lineup yesterday and LeMahieu should return any day. Adames, Descalso and Wolters don't bring much to the table offensively and should all be considered low-end DFS options this afternoon against a strong pitcher.

Rockies | DJ LeMahieu hopes to play Wednesday

Tue, 28 Jun 2016 14:27:42 -0700

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu (knee) says his left knee contusion is better, and he hopes to play against Toronto Blue Jays SP Aaron Sanchez Wednesday, June 29.

Fantasy Tip: LeMahieu is a viable starting option at the keystone in the majority of seasonal leagues and sits with 47 runs, five home runs, 29 RBI, seven stolen bases and a .327/.395/.498 slash line. Stay tuned for updates on his status for Wednesday.

Rockies | Trevor Story, DJ LeMahieu avoid DL

Mon, 27 Jun 2016 16:58:25 -0700

Colorado Rockies SS Trevor Story (finger) and 2B DJ LeMahieu (knee) both will avoid the disabled list after tests showed that they both did not have breaks or tears. LeMahieu said he felt "a lot better today" and is expected to return Tuesday, June 28.

Fantasy Tip: Story hit his 19th home run of the season Sunday before getting injured, and he has been one of the more productive fantasy shortstops this season. LeMahieu leads the Rockies with a .327 average, and he also has 20-steal potential. Return both players to lineups in all formats once they're back in the lineup, which will likely come Tuesday.

Rockies | Trevor Story, DJ LeMahieu sitting

Mon, 27 Jun 2016 14:57:08 -0700

Colorado Rockies SS Trevor Story (finger) and 2B DJ LeMahieu (knee) are both out of the starting lineup Monday, June 27. SS Cristhian Adames is starting at the 6 and hitting second, while 2B Daniel Descalso starts at second base and is batting sixth against Toronto Blue Jays SP Marco Estrada.

Fantasy Tip: Both Story and LeMahieu are dinged up right now, but both of their injuries aren't serious and shouldn't keep them out much longer. Get them both back into your lineups whenever they return. Adames and Descalso are both desperation daily picks this evening, with Adames being slightly more attractive because of his placement near the top of the order.
