Rockies | Nolan Arenado continues breakout year

Sat, 03 Oct 2015 06:03:35 -0700

Colorado Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI against the San Francisco Giants Friday, Oct. 2. Arenado leads the National League with 42 home runs and his 88 extra base hits this season has broken the MLB record for most extra base hits by a third baseman in a season.

Fantasy Tip: Arenado ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) also leads the majors with 130 RBI and has two more games to add to his stats. He should be used by owners on FantasyScore for the final two games of the season and has a good chance to be selected in one of the first few rounds of drafts next season.

Rockies | Nolan Arenado joins 40-homer club

Sun, 27 Sep 2015 06:16:57 -0700

Colorado Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado went 1-for-4 with a home run and four RBI during the Rockies' 8-6 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday, Sept. 26. It was Arenado's 40th home run of the season.

Fantasy Tip: Arenado ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) has delivered on his preseason hype with a monster season, and he currently leads the National League in RBI with 121, which also ties for best in the majors. What is perhaps most encouraging about Arenado's breakout is his production hasn't leaned significantly on his friendly home ball park. Arenado has 21 home runs, 52 RBI and a .250/.285/.525 slash line on the road. Continue to view Arenado as an elite offensive bat.

Thu, 24 Sep 2015 09:29:30 -0700

Colorado Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado (head) said he expects to be in the starting lineup Thursday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Tip: As long as Arenado ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) is back in there, he's a fine choice on FantasyScore against Pittsburgh Pirates lefty Jeff Locke. That's even with an underwhelming average of .256 (31-for-121) with only three of his 39 home runs coming off of southpaws.

Rockies | Nolan Arenado is fine

Wed, 23 Sep 2015 14:38:38 -0700

Colorado Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado said he is fine and doesn't have any lingering symptoms after he was dazed after a diving attempt Tuesday, Sept. 22. However, he is not in the lineup and is resting Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Look for Arenado to be back in the lineup Thursday. He's always a fine play on FantasyScore when he's starting. Daniel Descalso ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is starting at third base against against Pittsburgh Pirates starter Charlie Morton tonight, but you should look to avoid the light-hitting utility infielder.

At Coors Field, Arenado owns a .326/.360/.621 slash line with 21 doubles, 18 home runs and 62 RBI. Continue to view him as a high-end FantasyScore play whenever the Rockies are at Coors.
