Twins | Max Kepler keeps up July HR barrage

Wed, 20 Jul 2016 15:52:03 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Max Kepler went 1-for-3 with his 10th home run of the season Wednesday, July 20, opposite the Detroit Tigers. The long ball produced his lone run scored and RBI in the contest, and he also drew a walk.

Fantasy Tip: Remarkably, that's now seven homers in July for the rookie, as he previously only had three entering the month. Although he also owns a discouraging .229/.309/.488 slash line for the season, Kepler is someone who should probably be on the radar in deep leagues, if only for his power and nothing else. He's also getting at-bats in Minnesota's heart of the batting order.

Twins | Max Kepler goes deep again

Sun, 17 Jul 2016 15:17:32 -0700

Minnesota Twins rookie OF Max Kepler provided the only offense for his team on Sunday, July 17, versus the Cleveland Indians, sending a solo shot deep into the right-field seats for his sixth home run this month.

Fantasy Tip: Kepler's six homers and 19 RBI in 13 games this month are both major-league best totals. Both marks are made all the more impressive by the fact he is hitting only .196 in July. While he obviously has some work to do in terms of consistency, Kepler has already shown he is worth of being added and started in deeper leagues.
