SI.com's Melissa Segura reports the New York Yankees have nullified their signing of 16-year-old SS Damian Arredondo because that's not his real name, and he's older than 16. According to a new Major League Baseball rule, a player found to have used a fraudulent identity or to have misrepresented his age cannot sign with another club for one year.

The Journal News' Peter Abraham reports the New York Yankees signed international SS Damian Arredondo to a deal worth $850,000 and right-handed P Christopher Cabrera for $400,000. Arredondo, 16, has great speed, an above-average arm and very good hands according to scouting reports.
