Mets | Jeurys Familia, Vic Black could close

Tue, 17 Feb 2015 14:32:02 -0800

New York Mets RPs Jeurys Familia and Vic Black, along with RP Jenrry Mejia, will be given chances to close out games in spring training, according to manager Terry Collins. RP Bobby Parnell (elbow) is expected to return in May after recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Fantasy Tip: While Familia and Black could get some play in the ninth inning this spring, Mejia is expected to be the main ninth-inning man when the calendar flips to April, and until Parnell returns. Familia and Black are bullpen arms that should only be considered as dollar investments in NL-only leagues if you're scrounging for saves.
