Updating a previous item, New York Yankees P Pat Venditte, who throws both left- and right-handed, appeared for 1 1/3 innings against the Atlanta Braves Tuesday, March 30. The Associated Press reports he gave up one run. He is ticketed for Class A Tampa, and if he makes the majors down the line Venditte would be the first switch-pitching hurler since Greg Harris (1995) to accomplish the feat.

MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi will have 24-year-old ambidextrous RP Pat Venditte accompany the team to their game Tuesday, March 30. Venditte is a "switch-pitcher" that can throw with either hand and gained national attention by switching throwing hands during an at-bat in Class A in 2008.
