Fantasy Tip: Harper's studly numbers to begin the year shouldn't come as a surprise. As long as he's healthy he should continue to put up elite numbers for his owners.

Fantasy Tip: Harper leads the majors with eight homers and 22 RBI but is receiving his first day off this season, so he should be removed from all fantasy lineups. Den Dekker is just 2-for-15 at the plate this year and is not a recommended option for daily games.

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper has a .225 batting average on balls in play so far this year, which is 68 points below the league norm and 144 points below his BABIP of last year, according to ESPN Stats and Information.

Fantasy Tip: That's scary to think that Harper will improve after he's hit .321 (17-for-53) with eight home runs and 22 RBI already in the early going. His MVP season a year ago could just be the start of something bigger. Harper is clearly one of, if not the best, player in the game right now.

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper was hitless in two at-bats with a sacrifice fly Monday, April 18, against the Miami Marlins, snapping a four-game home run streak. "Every time you get him out, you breathe a sigh of relief," manager Don Mattingly said.

Fantasy Tip: Harper faced a tough matchup with Jose Fernandez on the bump. He'll look to start a new homer streak against LHP Adam Conley. He is 4-for-7 with a pair of doubles and a home run with four RBIs vs. LHP this season, and he hit .318 with 15 doubles, seven homers and 25 RBIs with a .986 OPS in 154 at-bats vs. southpaws in 2015.

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper homered for the fourth time in as many games on Sunday, April 17, sending a pitch from Philadelphia Phillies RP Jeanmar Gomez over the fence in right in the top of the 10th inning.

Fantasy Tip: Philadelphia scored two in the bottom of the frame against Jonathan Papelbon, stealing Harper's thunder and giving Gomez the win. Harper is making baseball fun again for his owners with 10 RBI over his last four games, and finds himself one home run behind Trevor Story (seven) and one RBI behind Nolan Arenado (16) for the league lead in both categories. He's arguably the best player in fantasy baseball right now.

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper homered for the third consecutive game, finishing 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored in an 8-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Saturday, April 16.

Fantasy Tip: Harper has three homers and nine RBI over his last three games and five homers and 14 RBI through games overall. He looks like the top fantasy option in season-long leagues, and you can't go wrong building around Harper in daily formats.

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper went 1-for-4 with a grand slam during the Nationals' 6-2 win over the Atlanta Braves Thursday, April 14. It was his 100th career home run.

Fantasy Tip: A strong case could be made that Harper is the best fantasy player in the league, and he is off to a nice start proving it. Through eight games the slugger has six runs, three home runs, nine RBI and three stolen bases with a .250/.400/.679 slash line.

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper had 124 walks in 2015 and a league-best .460 on-base percentage, but he also finished with 131 strikeouts. He enters play Monday, April 11, with no strikeouts on the year, and he's the only hitter in the National League to make that claim. Harper is 5-for-13 with two doubles, two home runs, five walks and zero K's. Manager Dusty Baker has been impressed with Harper's mature approach.

Fantasy Tip: It's no secret that Harper took a huge step forward in 2015 on his way to Most Valuable Player honors in the NL. He was most likely a top three fantasy pick this year and should post another huge stat line this year if he stays healthy.
