The Chicago White Sox optioned SP Lucas Harrell and RP Jhonny Nunez to Triple-A Charlotte, MLB.com's Scott Merkin reports. The team also reassigned P Kyle Bellamy, P Charlie Leesman, C Josh Phegley, C Jared Price and OF Brandon Short to minor league camp.

Chicago White Sox C Josh Phegley (blood disorder) is in camp and healthy, according to MLB.com's Scott Merkin. Phegley was battling weekly blood work in combating the idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura illness that cost him all but 48 games during the 2010 season.

Chicago White Sox C Josh Phegley has a rare blood condition called Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) that hampered his 2010 season, MLB.com's Scott Merkin reports. According to WebMd.com, ITP is a rare autoimmune bleeding disorder characterized by the abnormally low levels of certain blood cells called platelets. "I don't feel any different, but you get a bruise and it can get out of hand," Phegley said. "My immune system is attacking my own platelets, and it acts like Leukemia, a blood cancer. What has made this a little difficult is, I'm having to keep my (platelet) numbers up because of the position I play. Eventually, I've been told my system will flip itself around. There's a 90 percent chance it never reoccurs. It's kind of a big speed bump in the road right now."

The list includes OF's Jordan Danks, Jason Botts, Josh Kroeger and Jared Mitchell; IF's Brent Morel, Freddie Bynum and C.J. Retherford; SP Daniel Cabrera; RP Greg Aquino; P's Ryan Z. Braun, Charlie Leesman and Erick Threets; and C's Donny Lucy, Josh Phegley and Miguel Gonzalez.
