Milwaukee Brewers P Eric Arnett (shoulder) appears likely to miss a significant chunk of the season due to rotator cuff tendinitis, reports Tom Haudricourt, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "Let's put it this way," assistant general manager Gord Ash said. "It's probably going to be about a month before he throws."

Adam McCalvy, of MLB.com, reports the Milwaukee Brewers optioned P Alexandre Periard to Double-A Huntsville Monday, March 8, and returned Ps Eric Arnett and Kyle Heckathorn to their minor league camp.

MLB.com's Ed Eagle reports that the Milwaukee Brewers have invited Ps Eric Arnett, Zach Braddock and Kyle Heckathorn, Cs Jonathan Lucroy and Martin Maldonado and OF Logan Schafer to major league spring training camp. None of the six players are on the club's 40-man roster.

Adam McCalvy, of MLB.com, reports the Milwaukee Brewers agreed to terms with P Eric Arnett, their first pick in the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft, Friday, June 12. Arnett received a $1.2 million signing bonus.
