Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim INF Grant Green (back) was placed on the 15-day disabled list because of a lumbar strain. The Angels recalled 1B C.J. Cron from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Fantasy Tip: Cron immediately regains deep-mixed value. Green is stashable in cavernous games, notably AL-only atmospheres.

Angels | Kole Calhoun currently stuck in platoon

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim OF Kole Calhoun will need to get going offensively against lefties in order to be penciled into the lineup every day. He's just 1-for-15 against left-handers since returning from the disabled list, and he said his timing is "getting there." Manager Mike Scioscia will continue to platoon with OFs Grant Green and Collin Cowgill until Calhoun returns to full health.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are on the verge of getting several injured players back from the 15-day disabled list, and they might conceivably be facing a decision between OF Grant Green, who can play up to four positions, and 1B C.J. Cron, who is a slugging prospect who can spell 1B Albert Pujols.
