Atlanta Braves SP Ervin Santana will pitch Friday, July 18, the team's first game after the All-Star break, against the Philadelphia Phillies, according to manager Fredi Gonzalez. Gonzalez has not confirmed the rotation after Santana, but said it depends on if SP Julio Teheran will get one or two days of extra rest. Teheran will pitch Saturday, July 19, or Sunday, July 20. Expect left-handed SPs Mike Minor and Alex Wood to be split up in the rotation and not pitch consecutively. Wood and Minor will either pitch the second and fourth or the third and fifth games out of the break. SP Aaron Harang will pitch the fourth or fifth game coming out of the break.
Fantasy Tip: Santana gets an excellent chance to start strong in the second half against the Phillies' weak offense. Otherwise, check back for further details, but the Miami Marlins head to Atlanta Monday, July 21, which is another plus-matchup.

Atlanta Braves SP Mike Minor is allowing a .375 opponents batting average to left-handed batters this season. It is the third highest mark in the major leagues. Minor is winless in his last eight starts and has allowed opponents to hit .311 against him during that span.
Fantasy Tip: Consider benching Minor until he turns his season around. He was among the league's best pitchers from June 2012 to September 2013, so the potential to rebound is there.
Thu, 26 Jun 2014 15:03:25 -0700
Atlanta Braves SP Mike Minor failed to win Thursday, June 26, pushing his winless streak to seven games. Minor last won Monday, May 19, against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Fantasy Tip: Outside of a tough road start at Coors Field, Minor has pitched well. The lack of wins are frustraing, but the Braves aren't providing much offensive support, either. Continue to view Minor as mid-tier starting pitcher, although he has the potential to flash high-end production.

Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez indicated Tuesday, May 13, that he will keep all six of his starting pitchers in the rotation for the next turn. SPs Aaron Harang, Gavin Floyd, Mike Minor and Julio Teheran will pitch with two extra days' rest next week.
Wed, 07 May 2014 20:11:01 -0700
While nothing has been made official, the Atlanta Braves will include SP Gavin Floyd in the rotation, meaning someone will be bumped out. SP Alex Wood seems like the most likely candidate to head to the bullpen over SPs Aaron Harang, Mike Minor, Ervin Santana and Julio Teheran.

Atlanta Braves P David Hale is now pitching out of the bullpen, as a result of SP Mike Minor recently rejoining the starting rotation.
Wed, 30 Apr 2014 09:03:20 -0700
The Atlanta Braves activated SP Mike Minor (shoulder) from the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, April 30.
Fantasy Tip: Minor is slated to make his season debut Friday. Look to add him in deep mixed leagues immediately if he's still out there.
Tue, 29 Apr 2014 13:27:12 -0700
Atlanta Braves SP Mike Minor (shoulder) will make his first start of the season against the San Francisco Giants Friday, May 2.
Fantasy Tip: There's a good chance that Minor is available in the majority of mixed leagues. Take a chance on him now if you're looking for alternative pitching options. The injury this spring clouds the fact that he was starting to look like an elite pitcher at the end of the 2013 season.
Tue, 22 Apr 2014 13:04:30 -0700
Atlanta Braves SP Mike Minor (shoulder) will pitch once more for Double-A Mississippi Friday, April 25, before returning to the major leagues.
Fantasy Tip: This means Minor will be activated to make his season debut sometime next week. He's expected to replace David Hale in the rotation. Minor may start slow out of the gates, but he's worth watching in deep mixed leagues.
