John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Washington Redskins were wise to invest a third-round draft choice to acquire former Kentucky DL Jeremy Jarmon in the NFL's supplemental draft. According to a source, five teams put in fourth-round claims for Jarmon. Had the Redskins not used their third, Jarmon probably would have gone to the Detroit Lions at the top of the fourth round. As a result, the Redskins have five remaining draft choices in the 2010 NFL Draft. They are now without third- and sixth-round picks.

Jarmon is an option for the NFL's upcoming supplemental draft. He ran the 40-yard dash between 4.75 and 4.84 seconds. Jarmon was listed at 6-foot-3 1/8 and 278 pounds.
