Cleveland Indians RPs Chen-Chang Lee worked two scoreless innings in a Cactus League appearance Sunday, March 18. He has had a solid spring, but is still not expected to make the club. RPs Frank Herrmann and Nick Hagadone each had scoreless efforts, as Herrmann threw two scoreless frames, and Hagadone had a 1-2-3 inning.

The Cleveland Indians signed 2B Jason Kipnis, C Lou Marson, OF Shelley Duncan, Ps Vinnie Pestano, Frank Herrmann, Zach McAllister, Nick Hagadone and Scott Barnes, OF Ezequiel Carrera and INFs Lonnie Chisenhall, Russ Canzler and Juan Diaz to one-year deals for the 2012 season Friday, March 9. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Cleveland Indians RP Frank Herrmann retired nine of the 10 batters he faced in three scoreless innings of relief Saturday, July 2, in place of the injured SP Fausto Carmona (quadriceps). Herrmann picked up the win, allowing just one hit, no walks and two strikeouts while throwing 33 of his 45 pitches for strikes in his first appearance since June 20.
