The Associated Press reports free agent RB Charlie Rogers (Dolphins) has been cleared of all charges stemming from a bar brawl. Rogers was acquitted Tuesday, April 20, of resisting arrest, hindering his apprehension and four counts of aggravated assault. They stemmed from a brawl at a New Jersey bar on July 13, 2002.

Updating previous reports, Miami Dolphins WR/KR Sam Simmons (ankle) suffered a high left ankle sprain in Sunday's, Nov. 23, game against the Washington Redskins. Because of the severity of the injury, Simmons could be headed for injured reserve. The Dolphins are considering re-signing RB Charlie Rogers if Simmons is deemed unable to play.

The Palm Beach Post reports Miami Dolphins WR Sam Simmons will return punts for the second consecutive week Sunday, Nov. 2. RB Charlie Rogers was signed in the off-season to be the return man, but did not play against San Diego on Monday night. There is a chance he could be inactive Sunday.
