Cleveland Browns RB Trent Richardson (chest, rib) will wear a flak jacket in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts. Richardson is expected to start in the game, and he said the extra padding won't change his rushing style. "My game's not going to be no different," Richardson said. "I'm still going to play physical and play hard-nosed football, smash-mouth football. That's what I was brought up to do, and that's how I know how to play football." RBs Montario Hardesty and Chris Ogbonnaya will step in if Richardson is limited at all, and head coach Pat Shurmur is confident in the backups if needed.

Cleveland Browns RB Trent Richardson (personal) was not practicing in the early portion of practice Friday, Oct. 5, because his girlfriend was giving birth. RBs Montario Hardesty and Chris Ogbonnaya took first-team repetitions as a result.
