The Dallas Cowboys announced OT Alex Barron (ankle), WR Dez Bryant (ankle), LB Victor Butler (neck), OT Marc Colombo (knee), S Michael Hamlin (concussion), WR Jesse Holley (hamstring), TE John Phillips (knee), TE Scott Sicko (concussion), DE Marcus Spears (knee) and S Pat Watkins (knee) missed the team's practice Monday, Aug. 16.

Calvin Watkins, of ESPNDallas.com, reports Dallas Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware (neck) was released from the hospital Sunday, Dec. 13, and is expected to miss two weeks, according to sources close to the situation. Ware suffered a sprained neck Week 14 and was taken to a local hospital for X-rays as a precaution. He was alert and had feeling in all his extremities. Ware had tissue damage but nothing structural. One source said Ware spent Sunday night icing his neck at home and had significant soreness and swelling. He was replaced by LB Victor Butler in the game.

David Moore, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys LB Victor Butlerhas been moved from weakside linebacker to strongside linebacker. The switch was necessary after LB Brandon Williams (knee) suffered a season-ending injury and LB Justin Rogers (knee) continues to deal with tendonitis. Linebackers coach Reggie Herring said, "That's really the only alternative we have to get two deep and get working. If there is a positive, Victor is athletic and he's smart and he ought to make the transition fairly easy, we hope."

OG Kyle Kosier (foot) is not expected to participate, either, after recently having screws removed from his surgically repaired foot. PK Nick Folk (hip) will not practice after recent hip surgery.
