Makovicka pulled his hamstring in the first practice of training camp, then reinjured it 15 minutes into his first practice back, sidelining him until Sunday. The bye week should afford the fullback the chance to reach his goal. DE Thomas Burke didn't practice Tuesday because of a stiff neck. The injury is not believed to be serious, but he did have an MRI yesterday afternoon.

The Arizona Republic reports results of an MRI on Arizona Cardinals PK Cary Blanchard's injured right foot have not been released yet. If not for the injury, Blanchard might have been cut this week. Also, LB James Folston has a herniated disc in his back that could require surgery. Folston said doctors want him to rest a week or two to see if the condition improves. LB Rob Fredrickson didn't practice for the second straight day on Tuesday. FB Joel Makovicka (hamstring) didn't practice as well.

Fredrickson, who said he's never had back pain in his football career, was told by a chiropractor that his was just a freak injury. WR Rob Moore said he is excited about his probable return to game action when the Cardinals visit the Chicago Bears on Saturday. Dennis McKinley missed Tuesday morning's workout because of a groin injury. Joel Makovicka reinjured his hamstring in Tuesday morning's practice. He is out indefinitely. Paul Shields was the only healthy FB and the team moved Tevita Ofahengaue from fullback to round out the tight end position.

He didn't pass concussion tests earlier this week and underwent another on Wednesday, which the results have not yet been made available. Pittman did some work on Wednesday, but was held out of contact drills. RB Thomas Jones (pleurisy) missed practice again on Wednesday. Pittman and Jones are both listed as probable for this weekend's game. FB Joel Makovicka (knee) will undergo surgery soon on his knee and is out this weekend.
