Ravens | Baltimore still talking to Mike Wallace

Sat, 17 Mar 2018 15:22:39 -0700

Free-agent WR Mike Wallace (Ravens) could still return to the Baltimore Ravens, as general manager Ozzie Newsome said he hasn't closed to door on re-signing the veteran. The club has had conversations with Wallace.

Fantasy Tip: Wallace has bounced around the league, spending his five seasons with three different teams. He has e-re-emerged in Baltimore with 124 catches and 1,765 yards with eight touchdowns over the past two years with the Ravens. The team has signed Michael Crabtree and John Brown during the offseason, so it's uncertain if and where Wallace would fit in. His fantasy value might be higher elsewhere.

Ravens | Baltimore could clean house at wide receiver

Fri, 02 Mar 2018 09:19:49 -0800

The Baltimore Ravens are "basically resetting" at the wide receiver position, according to general manager Ozzie Newsome. Per the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec, Newsome's admission doesn't "bode well" for the returns of Jeremy Maclin and impending free-agent Mike Wallace.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin could not get or stay healthy in 2017, and the Ravens are expected to release him this offseason in order to get about $5 million worth of cap space. Wallace was serviceable in 2017 (52 catches for 748 yards and four touchdowns), still boasts much of his deep speed and stands a much better chance of being brought back, but Baltimore would probably like it if he was a complementary receiver entering his age-32 season.

Sun, 31 Dec 2017 05:25:42 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Mike Wallace (knee) is expected to play in Week 17's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Wallace was listed as questionable on the injury report but participated in all three practice sessions during the week, including the final two as a full participant. With WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) doubtful to play and the Ravens battling for a playoff spot, Wallace should be viewed as a WR3 option this week.

Ravens | Baltimore's top receivers banged up

Fri, 29 Dec 2017 11:16:31 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) is listed as doubtful for Week 17 versus the Cincinnati Bengals. WR Mike Wallace (knee) is listed as questionable.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin has been a virtual no-show in fantasy over the second half of the season as he continued to pile up missed practices, allowing Wallace to gain more of a rapport with Joe Flacco as the season progressed. Wallace is the only member of the Baltimore passing game owners need to consider using for fantasy purposes. He's a low-end WR3 in most leagues.

Ravens | Mike Wallace fully practices

Thu, 28 Dec 2017 13:37:53 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Mike Wallace (knee) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Wallace looks to be the main receiver for the Ravens in Week 17 as Jeremy Maclin appears to be on the wrong side of a questionable tag. At best, though, Wallace is a flex for those still in the fantasy playoffs.
