Tennessee Titans RB Javon Ringer (elbow) said Wednesday, Sept. 19, after his first practice in 12 days that he is feeling better, but admitted he needs work from a conditioning standpoint. He is recovering from two surgeries for an elbow infection. "I didn't do a whole lot as far as getting in with the offense," Ringer said. "I feel like I am in OK shape, but definitely nowhere near where I was before this happened."

With one more year on his rookie contract, Ringer is already thinking about the options he might have to become a starter somewhere else. "Sooner or later, I hope to get a legitimate chance to prove myself," Ringer said. "This is my contract year, so I'm hoping and praying for the best."

If there was, I'd let you know," Munchak said. "We're just trying to get something fixed that hasn't been as productive as we'd like, and we're not doing anything different .... We don't feel any different about Chris Johnson. All of the above. Nothing's changing. Our philosophy hasn't changed." However, Munchak also said he will play whoever gives the team the best chance to win.
