Minnesota Vikings LB Jasper Brinkley said he is fully recovered from the hip injury that cost him the entire 2011 season. Brinkley could compete with LBs Marvin Mitchell and Audie Cole for the middle linebacker position but is expected to win the job.

Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said Sunday, March 25, that LB Jasper Brinkley (hip) is "100 percent healthy and ready to roll." Brinkley, who missed the entire 2011 season due to hip surgery, might get a crack at the MIKE linebacker job.

He figures to get a chance to win a starting job at base middle linebacker if the team decides not to bring LB E.J. Henderson back.
