"They've done a good job," Dungy said. "They'll continue to get time. The two of them will split probably two and a half quarters this week, so hopefully, we'll continue to see that improvement."

According to John Oehser of Colts.com, Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy believes the team's current situation at backup quarterback is the best it's been during his tenure in Indianapolis. "Probably, the biggest thing people may not know is how good we feel about [QBs Jim Sorgi and Travis Brown]," Dungy said. "It's clearly the best three we've had since I've been here. Even discounting [QB Peyton Manning], it's probably the best second and third that I've had. Both of those guys can come in and play for us, and play to a winning level."

The Associated Press reports the Buffalo Bills reached an injury settlement with QB Travis Brown (knee) on Sunday, Sept. 12, which makes the quarterback a free agent. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Buffalo will not be able to re-sign Brown until after Week 10 of the regular season.

"Travis is a guy that kind of gets overlooked in the scheme of things," Bledsoe said. "He has good ability. He throws the ball well. He was the Bills' No. 3 QB in the 2003 training camp before being placed on the injured reserve list for a thumb injury.

While QB Drew Bledsoe will start the game, the team may want to take a final look at Brown to see if he's worth bringing back to the team in 2003. Whether he returns or not, the Bills are expected to draft a quarterback in an early round of the upcoming NFL Draft.
