Bills | LeSean McCoy sits Thursday

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 09:57:13 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is out of practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: He's unlikely to play this weekend. Karlos Williams ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) is a midrange option against the New York Jets on FantasyScore.

Bills | LeSean McCoy likely done

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 08:26:09 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) won't practice Wednesday, Dec. 30, and "it doesn't look good" for him to play in Week 17, according to head coach Rex Ryan.

Fantasy Tip: Karlos Williams ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) would be a solid play against the New York Jets on FantasyScore.

Bills | LeSean McCoy not ready yet

Mon, 28 Dec 2015 11:16:20 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is in wait-and-see mode as to whether or not he'll be able to play in Week 17, according to head coach Rex Ryan.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills may not want to rush McCoy back since they won't be making the playoffs and since Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee have played well in his place. He'll need to be monitored throughout the week, of course, but he could be limited even if he plays.

Bills | Week 16 inactives for Buffalo

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 08:51:35 -0800

The Buffalo Bills have declared TE Charles Clay, QB Josh Johnson, DL Lavar Edwards, RB LeSean McCoy, LB Max Valles, LB Nigel Bradham, CB Ronald Darby inactive for Week 16.

Bills | LeSean McCoy, Charles Clay out

Fri, 25 Dec 2015 16:07:10 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) and TE Charles Clay (back) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 25, and have been ruled out for the Week 16 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Fantasy Tip: Karlos Williams ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) and Chris Gragg ($1,700, 3.4% of cap) probably will receive starts because of the injuries. Williams could be a solid starting option for owners on FantasyScore because of his cheaper option. Owners probably should pass on Gragg in all leagues.

Bills | LeSean McCoy, Charles Clay not at practice

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 12:28:27 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) and TE Charles Clay (back) both did not practice Thursday, Dec. 24. It was McCoy's second straight missed practice, while Clay sat out after being limited Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) isn't expected to play. Stay away from him. Karlos Williams ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) should see most of the carries out of the backfield against a horrible run D in the Dallas Cowboys. Williams is a great value pick on FantasyScore. It's puzzling that Clay ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) sat out after practicing yesterday. In any event, it doesn't look good for his chances of playing. He's too risky of a daily option.

Bills | LeSean McCoy out of practice

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 08:50:40 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is out of practice Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Fantasy Tip: It's hard to see Shady suiting up against the Dallas Cowboys this week with a sprained MCL in his knee. Karlos Williams ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) could be an impact play on FantasyScore this week.

Bills | LeSean McCoy week-to-week

Mon, 21 Dec 2015 11:44:54 -0800

Updating previous reports, Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is considered week-to-week after suffering a medial collateral ligament sprain in Week 15 against the Washington Redskins, according to a source. He is scheduled for more tests Monday, Dec. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Again, Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee will take over duties in Buffalo's backfield. Williams will probably start, but Gillislee shouldn't be overlooked on FantasyScore after a solid Week 15 outing.

Bills | LeSean McCoy's status in doubt

Mon, 21 Dec 2015 11:13:38 -0800

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is in doubt to play in Week 16 against the Dallas Cowboys after suffering a medial collateral ligament sprain Sunday, Dec. 20. He is expected to play in Week 17, however.

Fantasy Tip: With McCoy's status in doubt, Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee will take over in the Bills' backfield. Williams should see more opportunities, but Gillislee performed well yesterday and should see a good amount of playing time. Both are worth a look on FantasyScore for Week 16.

Bills | LeSean McCoy has MCL sprain

Mon, 21 Dec 2015 10:43:50 -0800

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) suffered a minor medial collateral ligament sprain of his knee in Week 15 and is believed to be day-to-day, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: MCL sprains typically require a week or two of rest. We would expect McCoy to have to sit out at least in Week 16, especially now that Buffalo has been eliminated from playoff contention. Karlos Williams should see the majority of the touches in Week 16 against the Dallas Cowboys -- a great matchup, Mike Gillislee looked good filling in last weekend, though, and he could be worth sleeper consideration as a flex on FantasyScore if McCoy sits.

Bills | LeSean McCoy undergoing MRI

Mon, 21 Dec 2015 10:19:03 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on the knee injury he suffered during the team's Week 15 game, according to head coach Rex Ryan.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy was not able to return after suffering the injury, so his status for Week 16 against the Dallas Cowboys is uncertain at this point. McCoy would be a solid starting option if he is active for the game. Karlos Williams likely would start if McCoy is not able to play and could be a starting option for owners.

Bills | LeSean McCoy stuck in neutral

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 17:57:02 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy rushed 10 times for just 29 yards in the Week 15 game against the Washington Redskins. He also had one reception for eight yards.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy let his fantasy owners down in a very important week. It's hard to trust him in Week 16, even against a very subpar Dallas Cowboys defense.

Bills | LeSean McCoy out for game

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 12:10:51 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is out for the remainder of the game against the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: Mike Gillislee looks to be the go-to running back now. He scored a 60-yard touchdown after replacing McCoy, plus Anthony Dixon was injured earlier, too. As with any injury, look for an update on McCoy during and after the game.

Bills | LeSean McCoy has over 100 total yards

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 14:04:43 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 75 yards on 20 carries against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14. He also caught four passes for 35 yards during the game.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy has rushed for at least 70 yards in the last six games but has only two rushing touchdowns during that span. McCoy will continue to be a factor in the running and passing game and should be a solid starting option in Week 15.

Bills | LeSean McCoy playing lighter

Mon, 07 Dec 2015 15:45:51 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy has been lighter this year compared to last, and the Bills are getting creative with their play calling in order to give him plenty of one-on-one opportunities. With extra dieting and conditioning, McCoy has been able to "maintain his quickness" this season. He's lost at least 10 pounds from last season and is down to 206 pounds. Running backs coach Anthony Lynn also wants McCoy attacking more to get vertical quicker when he sees holes open up.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills have successfully gotten back to their ground-and-pound ways thanks to a healthy and consistent McCoy. As long as Buffalo continues to give McCoy plenty of opportunities, he should be a safe play for fantasy owners, especially in point-per-reception formats like FantasyScore. In Week 14 against his previous team, the Philadelphia Eagles, McCoy should be an attractive option.

Bills | LeSean McCoy has been steady

Mon, 07 Dec 2015 14:52:18 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy went for over 100 yards in the Week 13 win over the Houston Texans, and he has now gone for 100-plus yards from scrimmage in six straight games. His performances of late have come against solid rush defenses, too, including the Texans, New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy has been as steady as they come for fantasy owners down the stretch, and that could easily continue against a Philadelphia Eagles defense that allows 24.3 PPR fantasy points to running backs per game this year. McCoy will be extra motivated in this one, too, after being traded away from Philly in the offseason.

Bills | LeSean McCoy rushes for over 100 yards

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 14:41:43 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 112 yards on 21 carries against the Houston Texans in Week 13.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy has averaged at least four yards per carry in four of his last five games and has rushed for 112 yards in three of the last six games. He will have a favorable matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles and should be a starting option.

Bills | LeSean McCoy cleared to return

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 13:17:02 -0800

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (head) was able to return to the team's Week 13 game after he was cleared during the concussion protocol.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy was able to return to the game and should be fine moving forward, but owners should still keep an eye out on the situation. McCoy should be a starting option for fantasy owners against most opponents.

Bills | LeSean McCoy in protocol

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 12:05:13 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) left early in Week 13 and has begun the concussion protocol.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills were already down Karlos Williams, so Mike Gillislee and Anthony Dixon will take over running back duties today. McCoy should really be tracked this week to see how he progresses through the concussion protocol.

Bills | LeSean McCoy on the rise

Wed, 02 Dec 2015 10:03:41 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy has run for 514 yards and has averaged 4.7 yards per carry in his last six games. He's recorded more than 100 yards from scrimmage in each of the last five games.

Fantasy Tip: It's hard not to like McCoy ($7,400, 14.8% of cap) as at least a flex play on FantasyScore on a weekly basis the way he's been producing and touching the rock often. The Houston Texans defense is only getting stronger, so many will likely shy away from Shady this weekend. However, he isn't a terrible option because of his typical heavy workload.

Bills | LeSean McCoy succeeding in Buffalo

Tue, 24 Nov 2015 16:28:47 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy already has more rushing yards in 2015 (610) than Buffalo's leading rusher, Seattle Seahawks RB Fred Jackson, did last year (525), and McCoy has only played in eight games this season.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy has played pretty consistently when he has been healthy this year. His ceiling has been lowered, though, with Karlos Williams also making an impact, especially in the end zone. McCoy has a tough test this week, though, as the Kansas City Chiefs have only allowed five rushing touchdowns to running backs all season and only yield 81.2 rushing yards per game to the position.

Bills | Shady McCoy totals 123 yards, TD

Mon, 23 Nov 2015 22:41:18 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy rushed 20 times for 82 yards and a touchdown in the Week 11 game against the New England Patriots Monday, Nov. 23. He also added six receptions for 41 yards and he was targeted 10 times.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy started off slowly in Buffalo, especially since he was dealing with nagging injuries in September. However, he has re-emerged as a must-start fantasy option over the past handful of games.

Bills | LeSean McCoy runs well

Thu, 12 Nov 2015 21:05:42 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy had 19 carries for 112 yards and five catches for 47 yards in a 22-17 win over the New York Jets in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: The vaunted New York Jets run defense couldn't slow down McCoy ($7,300, 14.6% of cap), and it seems safe to say that the hamstring injury that sidelined him earlier in the year isn't slowing him down at all.

Bills | LeSean McCoy probable

Wed, 11 Nov 2015 10:39:30 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11, but he's probable for Thursday, Nov. 12, against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Shady ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) faces the toughest defense against RBs in the league the last five weeks. He had 19.9 points on FantasyScore last week, but this might be one to look elsewhere.

Comment (0) | Share: Tweet!Share on Facebook | Source: BuffaloBills.com

Bills | Sammy Watkins, LeSean McCoy limited

Tue, 10 Nov 2015 10:15:17 -0800

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (ankle) and RB LeSean McCoy (shoulder) were limited in practice Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Watkins ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) had a breakout game in Week 9, but he'll most likely be facing Darrelle Revis on Thursday night at less than 100%. That's plenty of reason to fade him on FantasyScore. McCoy ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) isn't a great option, either, coming off injury on a short week against a tough team to run against.

Bills | LeSean McCoy has shoulder strain

Tue, 10 Nov 2015 06:46:48 -0800

Updating previous reports, Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (shoulder) didn't require an MRI on what has been deemed a shoulder strain. His status for Week 10 Thursday, Nov. 12, against the New York Jets is up in the air.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) faces the defense that has been the toughest against RBs the last five weeks. Running backs have averaged just 44.5 rushing yards per game and have no rushing TDs in that span. There are several red flags for using him on FantasyScore this week.

Bills | LeSean McCoy misses practice

Mon, 09 Nov 2015 15:39:08 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (shoulder) did not participate in practice Monday, Nov. 9.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy's status for the game is uncertain at this point, so owners should continue to monitor the situation. Owners should have backup options ready to use in case McCoy is ruled out for the game.

Bills | LeSean McCoy likely to have MRI

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 22:47:19 -0800

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (shoulder) will "probably" need an MRI on the shoulder he injured in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins, a source said Sunday, Nov. 8.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills have a Week 10 game Thursday against the New York Jets, so Shady ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) should be avoided in FantasyScore. Karlos Williams ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) would be a great FantasyScore value if McCoy cannot play.

Bills | LeSean McCoy expected to be OK

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 13:54:19 -0800

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (shoulder) said he should be fine after suffering a shoulder injury late in the fourth quarter of Week 9's game against the Miami Dolphins. He added that he would have continued to play if the score was closer.

Fantasy Tip: It appears as though McCoy ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) was just removed as a precautionary measure, so he should be good to go for Week 10's game against the New York Jets, even though it's a Thursday night contest. He rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown versus Miami and added seven receiving yards.

Bills | LeSean McCoy injures shoulder

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 12:54:20 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (shoulder) is questionable to return to Week 9's game against the Miami Dolphins after suffering a shoulder injury.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown and also had two receptions for seven yards before exiting the game. Karlos Williams ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is expected to receive the bulk of the carries in his absence. Keep checking back for further updates on McCoy's status.

Bills | LeSean McCoy still not 100%

Thu, 05 Nov 2015 05:51:37 -0800

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is still not 100%, and RB Karlos Williams (concussion) will have a role in Week 9.

Fantasy Tip: Shady ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) has averaged 15.9 fantasy points the last two games on FantasyScore. He's still a low-end RB1 option against the Miami Dolphins. Williams ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) isn't a real good choice until his role becomes more defined.

Bills | LeSean McCoy gaining confidence

Sat, 24 Oct 2015 20:17:44 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) said he left some plays on the field against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6 because he was afraid of re-injuring his hamstring, but he added that his confidence was rising.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) had a solid showing against the Bengals, and with another week to heal, he could be even better in Week 7 against a Jacksonville team ranked in the middle of the pack against the run. Don't hesitate to start him at FantasyScore.

Bills | Buffalo TEs to play big role in Week 7

Fri, 23 Oct 2015 10:05:48 -0700

Buffalo Bills WR Marcus Easley (shoulder) is also questionable with a shoulder injury for Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Head coach Rex Ryan said he thinks Easley will play, but QB EJ Manuel said the team's tight ends and RB LeSean McCoy will play a major role in the passing game.

Fantasy Tip: With Buffalo missing a good chunk of their playmakers in London, both McCoy ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) and Charles Clay ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) are very safe FantasyScore picks this weekend. They should see enough targets to have a positive return on investment.

Bills | LeSean McCoy probable

Fri, 23 Oct 2015 09:01:04 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) was limited Friday, Oct. 23, but is probable against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Shady ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) came back in fine fashion at less than 100% last week. He's still a risk, but he has a good matchup as a low-end RB1 on FantasyScore.

Bills | LeSean McCoy solid in return

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 19:19:49 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) had 17 carries for 90 yards and a touchdown and two catches for four yards in a 34-21 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) enjoyed his best game of the season, and as long as he doesn't report any issues with his hamstring in the coming days, he should be safe to deploy at FantasyScore moving forward.

Bills | LeSean McCoy feeling good

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 08:24:47 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) said his injured hamstring is feeling a lot better and expects to see significant playing time against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) will be returning to the lineup after missing several games because of the injury. McCoy should see a majority of the carries and probably will also be part of the passing game. He is facing a solid Bengals defense but should still be considered a starting option.

Bills | LeSean McCoy not 100%

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 11:20:02 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) admits he's not 100%, but he sees opportunities to make plays against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) has a really tough matchup and hasn't performed particularly well while less than 100% thus far. He's a shady option on FantasyScore this week.

Bills | LeSean McCoy probable

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 10:04:57 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is probable for Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) has a tough matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. It's not known whether he'll be limited, and with such a tough matchup you wonder if it's worth the risk on FantasyScore.

Bills | Cautious optimism LeSean McCoy plays

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 06:38:28 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) has given the team cautious optimism that he plays Sunday, Oct. 18, according to head coach Rex Ryan.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) tweeted as if he was raring to go against the Cincinnati Bengals this week. It's a tough matchup, and he has yet to look 100%. It's really tough to drop this much on him on FantasyScore.

Bills | LeSean McCoy hints at playing

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 05:24:53 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) hinted on social media about playing Sunday, Oct. 18.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) already re-injured himself once, but the need in the backfield is there. If he plays against the Cincinnati Bengals, he has a tough matchup and could be limited. He's not a good FantasyScore play if he goes.

Bills | Big Three practicing in Buffalo

Thu, 15 Oct 2015 09:10:32 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (knee), RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and WR Sammy Watkins (calf) were practicing again Thursday, Oct. 15, in some fashion.

Fantasy Tip: Watkins ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) probably has the best chance to play against the Cincinnati Bengals this week. Taylor ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) and McCoy ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) are pretty questionable at this point. They all have less-than-desirable matchups, but Watkins is at a good price for a midrange flex option.

Bills | LeSean McCoy to be limited

Wed, 14 Oct 2015 08:27:11 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) will practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Oct. 14, but his timetable is not known.

Fantasy Tip: McCoy ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) is probably doubtful this week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Anthony Dixon ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) and Dan Herron ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) will likely see the bulk of the work, but the matchup is tough for FantasyScore play.

Fri, 09 Oct 2015 10:30:34 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) said he'll miss three to four weeks with a Grade 2 hamstring strain.

Fantasy Tip: Keep him stashed in traditional leagues. Anthony Dixon ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is expected to start against the Tennessee Titans and may be worth a basement flyer on FantasyScore this week.

Bills | LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams ruled out

Fri, 09 Oct 2015 10:04:22 -0700

Buffalo Bills RBs LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and Karlos Williams (concussion) both missed practice again Friday, Oct. 9, and have been ruled out for Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. Williams is still in the concussion protocol. RB Anthony Dixon is likely to start against the Titans, but RB Dan Herron could see a heavy workload.

Fantasy Tip: Because we don't know exactly who will get more work against the Titans, Dixon ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is a deep sleeper pick that probably won't end up being worth your time. Herron isn't available on FantasyScore after signing midweek.

Bills | RB duo still out of practice for Bills

Thu, 08 Oct 2015 08:43:08 -0700

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and RB Karlos Williams (concussion) are still out of practice Thursday, Oct. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Anthony Dixon ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is at a basement price in a so-so matchup against the Tennessee Titans. With McCoy and Williams looking unlikely to play, he's a great flex grab if you want to load up elsewhere on FantasyScore.
