Browns | Kenny Britt active for Week 7

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 09:07:42 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (groin, knee) is active for Week 7's game against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: Britt was a limited practice participant during the week and had been listed as questionable on the injury report. Through his first four games, Britt has just eight receptions for 121 yards and is on thin ice with the organization after missing curfew last weekend. He's not worth owning, let alone starting, in any fantasy format.

Mon, 16 Oct 2017 11:40:38 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (groin, knee) did not play in Week 7 due to "groin issue" and "that's exactly what played into (him being inactive)," according to head coach Hue Jackson.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns are going nowhere fast yet again and have little to gain by keeping Britt on the roster at this point, much less playing him. He does not need to be owned in fantasy.

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 06:30:22 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee, groin) will be a game-time decision for Week 6's game against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Britt was listed as questionable on the injury report and was a limited practice participant throughout the week. He only has eight receptions through four games this season and would be at less than 100 percent if he is active, so he should be avoided in all fantasy formats.

Browns | Kenny Britt questionable for Week 6

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 10:10:30 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee, groin) is listed as questionable for Week 6 versus the Houston Texans, but head coach Hue Jackson believes he has a "good chance" to play.

Fantasy Tip: Given his performance to this point of the season, Browns fans and fantasy owners alike would just as soon see Britt not play. Ricardo Louis appears to be emerging as the top receiver in Cleveland in Corey Coleman's absence, but he would be a low-end WR3 option at best this week.

Browns | Kenny Britt leaves practice

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 12:07:06 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (groin) left practice Thursday, Oct. 12, after being bothered by his groin injury. He is considered day-to-day and it is unclear at this point if he will be able to play this weekend.

Fantasy Tip: Britt has done very little this season anyway. Ricardo Louis is the only Cleveland wide receiver worth starting, and that's only in deeper leagues as a desperation flex.

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 11:18:30 -0700

Cleveland Browns LB Jamie Collins (concussion) and WR Kenny Britt (knee) returned to practice Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Britt may start in Week 6 against the Houston Texans, but head coach Hue Jackson has already expressed displeasure with his veteran receiver multiple times. It also appears Ricardo Louis is starting to exert himself as the top receiver in Cleveland during Corey Coleman's absence. Needless to say, Britt does not need to be on fantasy rosters.

Browns | Kenny Britt inactive for Week 5

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 08:56:07 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee, groin) will not play in Week 5's game against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Britt did not practice at all during the week and was listed as doubtful on the injury report, so his deactivation should not come as a surprise to anyone. WRs Rashard Higgins and Ricardo Louis could see more targets as a result of Britt's absence but neither player is a great option in any fantasy format.

Fantasy Tip: Britt may be in danger of missing Week 5 if he does not practice Friday, Oct. 5. Britt has been part of the passing game over the last few weeks but appears to be on a short leash. Owners in all leagues probably should avoid Britt even if he is active for the game.

Mon, 02 Oct 2017 14:28:20 -0700

Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said WR Kenny Britt probably should have been benched in Week 4, but the team had injuries at the position during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Britt posted 52 yards during the game and was targeted eight times, but it sounds like his role in the offense could decrease in the near future. Owners in all leagues should avoid Britt this week against the New York Jets.

Browns | Kenny Britt posts 52 yards

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 14:00:10 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt caught three passes for 52 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Britt has posted back-to-back decent outings and has been targeted 18 times during those two games. It appears that he has a solid role in the passing game but probably can be kept on the bench most weeks.

Browns | Kenny Britt listed as limited

Thu, 28 Sep 2017 13:09:32 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Owners can check on Britt's status later in the week but it looks like he has a chance to play in Week 4. Britt is coming off a Week 3 performance when he recorded 54 yards and one touchdown but probably can be benched this week if owners have better options to use.

Browns | Kenny Britt misses practice

Wed, 27 Sep 2017 14:35:54 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Fantasy Tip: Britt was the best receiver for the Browns last week, so it would be a sizable loss if he can't play in Week 4. Even so, it's risky to start any Cleveland wide receiver right now with Corey Coleman out a few weeks. It's best to stay away from this group altogether.

Browns | Kenny Britt finds the end zone

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 14:06:05 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt posted three receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown on a game-high 10 targets in Week 3 at Indianapolis.

Fantasy Tip: Britt saw his biggest involvement in the offense to date, developing quite the rapport with rookie DeShone Kizer. The emergence of Rashard Higgins never occurred and it was Britt reaping the rewards. He should still be treated as WR4 or flex option in most fantasy leagues for Week 4 against the Bengals, however.

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 20:03:14 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt said he was challenged "man-to-man" by head coach Hue Jackson to step up and be a leader for the receiving corps.

Fantasy Tip: Coming off a 1,000-yard campaign last year, Britt has two catches for 15 yards through two games in Cleveland. You may want to hang on to him to see if the injury to Corey Coleman boosts his production, but he shouldn't be anywhere near starting lineups in Week 3.

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 16:48:55 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt posted just one catch for two yards on two targets in Week 2 at Baltimore.

Fantasy Tip: Britt made his way back from a knee injury and he was expected to see his normal allotment in the offense. Right now he is an afterthought in the Cleveland offense and not worth using in most fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Britt probably will remain in the starting lineup this week and could receive a few targets in the passing game. He will be facing one of the better defenses in the Baltimore Ravens this week and can be avoided in all leagues.

Browns | Kenny Britt's playing time to stay the same

Fri, 15 Sep 2017 09:48:14 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt will get his "normal allotment" of plays in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens, according to head coach Hue Jackson, who refused to commit to Britt after a critical third-down drop in the second half of the team's Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson noted starts at receiver depends on the personnel grouping for the play called, so Britt may not technically get the start. At any rate, rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer locked in mostly on Corey Coleman, so it will be interesting to see if Britt can earn back the confidence of his coaching staff and quarterback. For now, the veteran belongs on the bench in most leagues, especially considering his matchup this week.

Browns | Kenny Britt fully practices

Thu, 14 Sep 2017 12:51:42 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Hue Jackson has been non-committal on whether or not Britt will remain a starting wideout. Corey Coleman is the only Cleveland receiver worth starting and he is no more than a flex consideration. Keep Britt on your fantasy sideline.

Browns | Full practice for Kenny Britt

Wed, 13 Sep 2017 12:26:32 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Britt's starting status is up in the air after a one-catch, 13-yard outing in Week 1. Cleveland is thin at wide receiver, though, so Britt should still have an integral role in the offense. For now, it's safer to keep him on the bench until we have further clarity on his usage.

Browns | Kenny Britt might not start this week

Mon, 11 Sep 2017 12:30:47 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt could be on the bench when the Browns begin their Week 2 game, according to head coach Hue Jackson. When asked if Britt would keep his starting job, Jackson simply said, "Let's see where we go this week."

Fantasy Tip: Hopefully you drafted Corey Coleman over Britt this year. DeShone Kizer seems to have a much better rapport with Coleman than any other Brown. That showed in the preseason and in Week 1. Don't let Britt go just yet, just bench him if you have better options.

Fantasy Tip: Britt should be one of the starting receivers for the Browns in Week 1 and will have a solid role in the passing game. Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (undisclosed) did not participate in organized team activities Wednesday, May 24, but head coach Hue Jackson said he expects Britt will be back on the field next week.

Fantasy Tip: Britt likely will be one of the starting receivers for the Browns in 2017 and is coming off a solid 2016 season. The team's quarterback situation hurts Britt's fantasy value, but he could still be considered a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver for fantasy owners.

Browns | Kenny Britt not sweating QB situation

Thu, 16 Mar 2017 19:22:52 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt said he believes the quarterback situation will be straightened out. "They said they are going to get the problem fixed, and I believe that they will," Britt said. "Regardless of who they have under center, it is my job to make him look good."

Fantasy Tip: With Terrelle Pryor out of the picture, Britt should be Cleveland's most dependable receiver in 2017. Consider him a WR3 candidate.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt's four-year, $32.5 million contract includes $10.5 million in guaranteed money at signing. He will make $17 million over the first two years of his deal.

Fantasy Tip: Britt had 1,002 receiving yards and five touchdowns last season with the Los Angeles Rams and will serve as Cleveland's No. 1 receiver in 2017. He should be viewed as a high-end WR3 in most fantasy leagues, with added value in PPR formats.
