Jacksonville Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis isn't being used as much in the passing game in favor of keeping him in to block. He's been targeted only once in the last two games after catching five passes for 52 yards in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. The coaching staff appreciates Lewis' patience while being asked to block, and they'll be eager to use him again in the passing game when the offensive line is shored up. OG Eben Britton and OT Cameron Bradfield have been dealing with early season injuries but are expected to return this week.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are considering placing OT Eben Britton (back) on Injured Reserve. According to sources, the Jaguars are still waiting for more information about the treatment and recovery time Britton will need for his injury, which is not structural in nature. Until they have that information they will not be able to make a determination on whether or not to keep Britton on the active roster.

However, he is still unlikely to play in Week 7 after failing to practice Thursday, Oct. 20, and Friday, Oct. 21. Britton has surgery on a herniated disc in his back during training camp.
