Thu, 23 May 2013 09:47:51 -0700 Seattle Seahawks WR Percy Harvin will be used similarly to how he was used by the Minnesota Vikings, in a variety of ways. He'll likely line up in the slot as his regular position, but he'll also be utilized outside and could see handoff and kickoff returns. "I'll be moving around - pretty much all around," said the 5-foot-11, 184-pound Harvin. "There'll be a little bit of running back coming up. But right now, we're just trying to get the foundation set, just running the base plays, and we'll see where it goes from there." Fantasy Tip: Harvin was a very productive receiver for the Vikings when he was healthy, and he was especially valuable in PPR leagues. He could produce WR1 value in those leagues in a much improved Seahawks offense, and his versatility as a running back makes him that much more intriguing as a receiver.

Mon, 11 Mar 2013 10:07:22 -0700 The Seattle Seahawks have agreed on a trade with the Minnesota Vikings that would send WR Percy Harvin to the Seahawks for draft picks. Harvin will have to pass a physical to complete the trade. Fantasy Tip: Harvin's move to the Seahawks should be fairly smooth because he has played in offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell's system before. His fantasy value probably will not change that much with the move. He should still be viewed as a solid No. 2 wide receiver but still is an injury risk. He likely will be more valuable in point-per-reception leagues.
Mon, 11 Mar 2013 09:49:22 -0700 The Seattle Seahawks are in trade talks for Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin. They are favored to land him, if he is traded.
Sat, 09 Mar 2013 19:18:39 -0800 According to league sources, Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin has informed the team he doesn't want to play for them and wants to be traded. Harvin is signed through this season, and general manager Rick Spielman has made it clear the club won't trade Harvin. The team could also play hardball by retaining his services by making him a franchise player next season and the following season if they so chose.
Fri, 08 Mar 2013 07:07:48 -0800 Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin reportedly threatened to walk out on the team last offseason after hearing that New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez received a contract extension after only two years. Fri, 08 Mar 2013 05:34:36 -0800 Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin is seeking a deal similar to the eight-year, $132 million deal Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson signed. That's an average of $16.5 million a year. As one person put it about Harvin, he considers himself a "special" player and executives around the league have fed that attitude by telling people close to him how difficult it is to cover Harvin.
Wed, 20 Feb 2013 04:58:12 -0800 Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin is not commenting on any potential trade talk surrounding him. "I got nothing to say about any of that," Harvin said.
Mon, 18 Feb 2013 05:41:08 -0800 The Minnesota Vikings have said they are not interested in trading WR Percy Harvin; however, that may not stop the New England Patriots from placing a phone call. Head coach Bill Belichick has been intrigued with Harvin since his college days at Florida. Harvin even felt the Patriots would draft him. "I'm real familiar with (Belichick)," Harvin said. "He came down a bunch of times to talk to me, talk to the (Gators) team, talk to (quarterback Tim) Tebow. I've heard a lot of things (about the 2009 draft). I think if Minnesota had passed, they would have taken me."
Sat, 16 Feb 2013 09:13:32 -0800 If the Denver Broncos decide to make a big splash in the offseason, the wide receiver position is where the team could spend significant money. With his career winding down, QB Peyton Manning would like another big weapon to throw to. New England Patriots impending free-agent WR Wes Welker is an option, as could Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent WR Mike Wallace. The team could also attempt to trade for Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin.

Fri, 15 Feb 2013 10:11:19 -0800 Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin has been unhappy with the team's offensive scheme and not about his contract. Harvin's trade requests have been based on the team's limitations in the passing game and not his contract.
Wed, 13 Feb 2013 10:13:37 -0800 A Minnesota Vikings team source said WR Percy Harvin is worth investing in long-term despite some of his baggage. "He is a star athlete who is a great player," the source said. "Is he a volatile guy? Yes. Can he be managed? Yes. For me he is not an issue. You just have to be able to deal and manage star players. I don't think we should be at the point of being done with him."
Wed, 13 Feb 2013 08:46:38 -0800 Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin is not planning to hold out at this point, according to a team source. "As far as holding out, that's not something that I've heard he definitely will do at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're throwing out threats - that's what agents do," the source said. "However, when you are under contract the team controls the situation, not the player. I hope he doesn't think a tactic like that would work if that's what he's thinking."
Wed, 13 Feb 2013 06:29:30 -0800 Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin has told at least one teammate he wants to be paid among the top three wide receivers in football.
Wed, 13 Feb 2013 03:46:37 -0800 Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he believes WR Percy Harvin and the team can overcome the recent drama in their relationship. "I haven't really had the opportunity to talk to him much. But I always look at what you can get from a person, and I know it comes with, 'OK, you gotta deal with this, or deal with that,' but I always feel like that person can overcome whatever it is that they might be struggling with," Peterson said.
Tue, 12 Feb 2013 18:09:19 -0800 A pair of NFL executives speaking about a potential trade of Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin said Tuesday, Feb. 12, they would be shocked if the team were able to land anything better than a third-round pick in the NFL Draft.
Tue, 12 Feb 2013 13:10:57 -0800 The Houston Texans will not pursue WR's Percy Harvin (Vikings) or Mike Wallace (Steelers) this offseason, according to John McClane of the Houston Chronicle. Tue, 12 Feb 2013 11:38:04 -0800 Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson wants WR Percy Harvin to stay with the Vikings. "I don't know if we will or not, but me, individually and in my opinion, I wouldn't trade him," Adrian Peterson told KFAN radio in the Twin Cities on Tuesday, via FoxSportsNorth.com. "No, I wouldn't trade him."
Mon, 11 Feb 2013 14:09:58 -0800 The Seattle Seahawks could show interest in Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin if he becomes available via trade this offseason.
Mon, 11 Feb 2013 11:30:13 -0800 The San Francisco 49ers could show interest in Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin if he becomes available this offseason. The 49ers are expected to have around 13 or 14 picks in the 2013 NFL Draft and could use some in a possible trade.
Mon, 11 Feb 2013 11:16:16 -0800 Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin is expected to sit out offseason workouts and training camp if he does not get a new contract this offseason. He is scheduled to make $2.9 million next season but it is not known what he would be looking for in a new contract. Fantasy Tip: This is a story to monitor this offseason because there are several scenarios that could occur. Harvin could sign an extension with the Vikings, be traded to another team or hold out possibly into the regular season if he does not get a new deal. Harvin should be viewed as a No. 2 wide receiver entering next season with the talent to be a No. 1 WR, but his value would suffer heavy damage if a holdout continues into the regular season.
Sun, 10 Feb 2013 13:26:26 -0800 The Minnesota Vikings are expected to look to trade WR Percy Harvin because he had a tirade directed toward head coach Leslie Frazier during the season. Teammates were disappointed in Harvin's actions and the organization has moved toward less tolerance for that behavior. Harvin apparently had a similar incident when Brad Childress was head coach.
Sat, 09 Feb 2013 04:13:31 -0800 Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman provided non-answers Friday, Feb. 8, when asked about the future of WR Percy Harvin with the team. When asked whether the team plans to offer Harvin a contract extension before the start of the 2013 season, Spielman replied, "I'm not going to say what's going to happen this offseason, because he is going in to the last year of his contract. But right now, where we're at, Percy Harvin is a member of this football team and he is a very good football player. We don't like to get rid of good football players." When asked if he wants Harvin on the 2013 team, Spielman said, "We love Percy Harvin as a football player. Everybody sees what he does for our football team."
Tue, 05 Feb 2013 11:32:25 -0800 Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said WR Percy Harvin's (ankle) future with the team is still up in the air. Sat, 12 Jan 2013 11:34:21 -0800 The Minnesota Vikings could look to trade WR Percy Harvin this offseason if they are not able to sign him to a contract extension. The team probably would receive a draft pick or draft picks in the second and third rounds because a team likely would not give up a first-round draft choice since they would have to sign Harvin to a lucrative contract extension.
Thu, 10 Jan 2013 12:27:11 -0800 Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said the team has no issue with Percy Harvin. "No," Spielman said. "Percy comes to work every day. Everybody sees what Percy puts on the field. He plays the game as hard or harder than anyone else in the NFL, the effort that he puts up out there. So, we have no issues with Percy Harvin." Spielman said Harvin was not suspended for conduct detrimental to the team. Fantasy Tip: This is good news in that it appears Percy Harvin only has to worry about getting past an ankle injury that put him on Injured Reserve in December. Still, monitor Harvin through the offseason, and be prepared to adjust your draft board if questions about his health, or conduct, linger.
Tue, 08 Jan 2013 21:41:18 -0800 Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin (ankle) is "headed in the right direction" in his recovery from a left ankle ligament tear, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. Harvin will return to Minnesota from Florida later this month for an exit physical. "He has to go through his physical, and I'll learn more once he gets through (it)," Frazier said.
Mon, 07 Jan 2013 08:59:42 -0800 Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said he expects WR Percy Harvin to return in 2013. "I don't see any reason why Percy wouldn't be back with us. He should be," Frazier said.

Head coach Leslie Frazier said it is Harvin's decision to not be with the team but he is not required to be at the facility or on the sidelines. Frazier said the team has been monitoring Harvin's rehab.

Thu, 20 Dec 2012 18:23:18 -0800 Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier and WR Percy Harvin (ankle) had a heated exchanged a few weeks ago in front of some players and staff members but the details of the incident are not known. Some people believed the incident was the reason Harvin was placed on Injured Reserve but the team and Harvin's agent had been talking about Harvin going on IR to avoid further injury.
Mon, 17 Dec 2012 05:43:06 -0800 Updating a previous item, Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin (appendix) had an emergency appendectomy Saturday, Dec. 15, not an operation on his sprained ankle, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. Harvin tweeted that he was having "minor surgery," though he did not reveal the nature of the procedure.

Wed, 05 Dec 2012 15:46:09 -0800 The Minnesota Vikings placed WR Percy Harvin (ankle) on the Injured Reserve Wednesday, Dec. 5. Fantasy Tip: Jerome Simpson and Jarius Wright figure to benefit the most in the passing game, although Christian Ponder's struggles don't make them a lock to produce fantasy-helpful numbers in Harvin's absence - see their Week 13 output. Kyle Rudolph's value will benefit the most, as Ponder looked his way much more often than the wideouts last week.
Wed, 05 Dec 2012 09:55:16 -0800 Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said he is not sure if WR Percy Harvin (ankle) will be able to play again this season. Harvin will not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.
