If Bailey can't play, CB Cassius Vaughn will likely be the starting left cornerback, with CB Jonathan Wilhite playing the slot in nickel packages. DLs Derrick Harvey, Jason Hunter and Robert Ayers will likely rotate if Dumervil can't suit up.

Picking defensive talent, however, has not been a strongpoint for the franchise. The team is moving back to a 4-3 defensive alignment this year, and while OLB Elvis Dumervil will move to defensive end, the team still plans to improve on the defensive line. The team needs to also figure out where OLB Robert Ayers fits into their new scheme.
