Ravens | Jeremy Maclin inactive for Week 6

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 08:27:43 -0700

Updating previous reports, Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) is inactive for Week 6's game against the Chicago Bears, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin was listed as questionable on the injury report but had been a limited participant in the team's three practice sessions during the week, so his deactivation comes as a bit of a surprise. Expect Mike Wallace and Breshard Perriman to see more targets in Maclin's absence, with Wallace worthy of consideration as a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin a game-time decision

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 06:57:46 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) is a game-time decision for Week 6's game against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin was a limited practice participant throughout the week and was listed as questionable on the injury report. He had six receptions for 43 yards versus the Oakland Raiders last week but has been a major disappointment this season, so he shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a flex option in deeper seasonal leagues.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin listed as questionable

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 12:33:00 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 13, and is listed as questionable for Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin should be able to play this week and probably will receive a normal workload against the Chicago Bears. He has been targeted at least five times in each of the last four games but has recorded at least 50 yards in only one game this season. He should only be considered a flex option in deeper leagues or can be benched if owners have better options.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin remains limited

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 13:30:04 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin's play has been nothing short of underwhelming in his first season with his new team. He has only eclipsed 50 yards once this year and hasn't scored since Week 2. Maclin can't be completely disregarded, but pegging him as more than a flex is folly.

Ravens | Limited practice for Jeremy Maclin

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 14:46:54 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin and the Ravens' offense have sputtered through the first five games of 2017, with Maclin only averaging 31.8 yards per game. Until Maclin can put up solid numbers consistently, he can't be trusted as more than a flex, if that.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin likely to play

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 05:30:31 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (hand) is expected to play in Week 5's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin was listed as questionable on the injury report even though he was a full practice participant throughout the week. Through his first four games of the year, Maclin has just 10 receptions and has not topped 60 receiving yards in a game, so he should be avoided in daily fantasy formats and is only worthy of consideration as a flex option in deep seasonal leagues.

Ravens | Another full practice for Jeremy Maclin

Thu, 05 Oct 2017 17:27:01 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (hand) participated fully in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Oct. 5.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin appears healthy enough to suit up for Week 5, but he's going to have to show some more in order to stick in most lineups. He's averaging less than 30 receiving yards per contest and has totaled only 10 catches through the season's first four games. If he doesn't pick it up, owners can start digging for more efficient WR3 options.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin has full practice Wednesday

Wed, 04 Oct 2017 17:44:21 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (hand) was a full participant in practice Wedneday, Oct. 4.

Fantasy Tip: Despite scoring two touchdowns in the first two games of the campaign, Maclin really hasn't shown much yet in his first year with Baltimore, tallying just 10 total catches through the first four contests. He also hasn't topped 60 yards in a game yet. Maclin will probably be out there on Sunday but his start is becoming a little concerning.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin quiet in home loss

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 18:48:25 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin posted three receptions for 21 yards on six targets in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin has been held out of the end zone in each of the past two games after scoring in his first two games of the season. If he isn't scoring, his fantasy appeal is rather minimal. Maclin has just four grabs for 29 yards over the past two games. He could bounce back in Week 5 against the Raiders, but he is only worth using as a WR4 in deeper leagues at this point.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin limited to one catch

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 10:12:41 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (head) caught one pass for eight yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin briefly left the game to be evaluated for a concussion but was cleared to return. All of the Ravens receivers struggled during the game, so owners should not worry about Maclin's performance. He can still be at least a flex option against most opponents.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin cleared to return

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 07:57:26 -0700

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (head) has been cleared to return to the Week 3 game after going through the concussion protocol.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin could see limited playing time in the second half of the game, so owners will need to lower their expectations this week. Maclin has been off to a solid start with the Ravens and could be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option most weeks.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin may have concussion

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 07:33:47 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (head) left the team's Week 3 game early and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see if Maclin is diagnosed with a concussion. Maclin has played well in the first two games of the season but could miss games if he has a concussion, so owners may need other options available.

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 16:52:30 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin posted four catches for 31 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Browns on five targets.

Fantasy Tip: That's two games and two touchdowns for Maclin, as he has already equaled his TD total from 2016 as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. Maclin has re-emerged as a solid WR3 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 3 against the Jaguars in London.

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 10:28:46 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) suffered a shoulder stinger during the team's Week 2 game but has returned to the game.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin is off to a solid start with the Ravens and will continue to be the slot receiver for the team. He should be considered a No. 3 receiver or a flex option against most opponents.

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 18:26:37 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin posted a pair of receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Week 1 win in Cincinnati.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin tied with Breshad Perriman for the most targets on the team with four. The Baltimore offense was mostly run-heavy, as they ease Joe Flacco back from a disc issue in his back. Expect Maclin's production to slowly pick up as the season goes on.

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 13:50:21 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (hand) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin has not worked with Joe Flacco in a game yet but should be able to find a good chemistry with Flacco in Week 1. He will be on the field for most of the plays and could see a solid amount of targets. He could be considered a No. 3 receiver or a flex option in most leagues.

Thu, 07 Sep 2017 16:00:39 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (hand) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin should be on the field when the team uses three-receiver sets and likely will receive a solid amount of targets this season. He will be facing a solid Cincinnati Bengals defense in Week 1 but can still be considered a No. 3 receiver or a flex option.

Wed, 06 Sep 2017 13:30:12 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (hand) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin appears to be on track to make his team debut. After a disappointing season in Kansas City the veteran is looking to rebound, and he is on track to have a big role early on. He isn't a bad WR3 or flex option in deeper fantasy formats, as he battles for targets with Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin the go-to option?

Thu, 06 Jul 2017 20:12:28 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin has averaged 67 catches, 913 receiving yards and six touchdowns over his seven NFL seasons, and since 2010, only one Baltimore receiver has reached all those marks in a single season.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin is expected to work out of the slot, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him become Joe Flacco's favorite target. He is worth a look as a WR3.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin had a torn groin

Wed, 21 Jun 2017 06:23:15 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) said that he played through a torn groin muscle last season.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin slumped to a 44-536-2 clip last season, and he did miss four games due to injury. He's 29 now and could still have some productivity left as a WR3 in fantasy.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin will play in the slot

Thu, 15 Jun 2017 10:58:17 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin is expected to assume the slot receiver position with WRs Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman lining up on the outside.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin fills one of the voids left behind by Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken and Dennis Pitta, among others. He will be able to make an immediate impact as the Ravens' starting slot receiver and could turn into Joe Flacco's safety blanket. That being said, drafting Maclin as a WR3 or higher would be a reach.

Updating previous reports, free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) signed a two-year, $11 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens that includes $6 million in the first year.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin could emerge as the team's best receiver relatively quickly, but he shouldn't be used as more than a WR3 in fantasy.

Mon, 12 Jun 2017 12:47:51 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) signed a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens Monday, June 12. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin will be a great help to Baltimore's offense, an offense that lost Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken and Dennis Pitta this offseason, among others. He will play alongside Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman and could see some time in the slot. As for fantasy purposes, he cannot be trusted as more than a WR3.

Sat, 10 Jun 2017 15:40:19 -0700

New York Jets WR Eric Decker may stay with the Jets a little bit longer. He was originally scheduled to be released or traded early in the week, but speculation is the team is waiting to see where WR Jeremy Maclin ends up before making any moves.

Fantasy Tip: Don't plan on him to be a Jet much longer, but his fantasy value will depend on the eventual trade destination.

Ravens | Jeremy Maclin taking his time

Thu, 08 Jun 2017 12:14:52 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) left his visit with the Baltimore Ravens without a contract Thursday, June 8. Head coach John Harbaugh said Maclin wants some time to make a decision.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin would make for a nice fit in Baltimore alongside Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman. That said, he has lost a significant amount of fantasy value after an off year in Kansas City. There is a chance for a rebound, but drafting him as more than a flex is ill advised.

Ravens | Baltimore will meet with Jeremy Maclin

Wed, 07 Jun 2017 11:14:09 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) is scheduled to meet with the Baltimore Ravens after finishing his meeting with the Buffalo Bills, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin would probably be at least the No. 3 receiver if he signs with the Ravens and could compete for a starting job. Maclin probably can be seen as a No. 3 fantasy receiver no matter where he signs.

Bills | Jeremy Maclin leaving Bills visit

Wed, 07 Jun 2017 11:13:26 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) has finished his visit with the Buffalo Bills Wednesday, June 7, and is scheduled to meet with the Baltimore Ravens next, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin could still sign with the Bills but probably wants to meet with other teams before making a decision. He probably would be the leading candidate for the No. 2 receiver job if he signs with the Bills. Maclin should be a top three receiver no matter where he signs this offseason and can be a No. 3 receiver for fantasy owners.

Bills | Jeremy Maclin still in Buffalo

Wed, 07 Jun 2017 09:08:24 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) remains on a visit with the Buffalo Bills Wednesday, June 7.

Fantasy Tip: The longer the visit the better. The Bills can use Maclin as a No. 2 wide receiver in between Sammy Watkins and rookie Zay Jones. Even in a good fit, however, he's in the WR4 conversation at 29 years old and after missing four games last year with a groin injury.

Browns | Jeremy Maclin of interest to Browns

Tue, 06 Jun 2017 13:38:09 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) has drawn interest from the Cleveland Browns, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin is suddenly a hot commodity after being released by the Chiefs late last week. He may be over the hill in football years, but he can still serve at least as a quality possession receiver. Wherever he lands, he should not be viewed as more than a low-end WR3 or flex.

Tue, 06 Jun 2017 06:27:09 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) has plans to visit the Baltimore Ravens Wednesday, June 7.

Bills | Jeremy Maclin to visit Bills

Tue, 06 Jun 2017 06:26:17 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) will visit the Buffalo Bills Tuesday, June 6.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin never emerged as a legit WR1, but he can make a serviceable second receiver in the NFL. For fantasy purposes, he's worth a look as a WR4, which could be upgraded to WR3 in the right system.

Bills | Jeremy Maclin talking with Buffalo

Sun, 04 Jun 2017 17:15:15 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) is in "preliminary talks" with the Buffalo Bills, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Buffalo isn't exactly a fantasy gold mine for receivers, but with Sammy Watkins' injury history and no proven No. 2 option, Maclin would be worth grabbing as a WR4 if he lands with the Bills.

Bills | LeSean McCoy 'recruiting' Jeremy Maclin

Sun, 04 Jun 2017 12:57:09 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) has been getting "recruited" by Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy - a former teammate with the Philadelphia Eagles - to sign with the Bills.

Fantasy Tip: Buffalo is hurting at the moment with Sammy Watkins' proneness to injury and the knee injury second-round pick Zay Jones suffered in OTAs. The landing spot wouldn't be great initially for a number of reasons and he'd likely be a WR4 at best in fantasy as a result, but Watkins' contract is up after the year and Jones may be able to benefit from Maclin's experience.

Chiefs | Alex Smith talks Jeremy Maclin

Sat, 03 Jun 2017 18:40:33 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs QB Alex Smith said he was expecting free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) to be his No. 1 receiver again this season and was "shocked" by Maclin's release. "For us, we have to move on a roll as a group," Smith said. "We obviously wish Jeremy well wherever he lands, and he'll land on his feet."

Fantasy Tip: Smith is a game manager for the Kansas City offense, and losing Maclin doesn't change his value. He remains strictly a fantasy backup.

Lions | Detroit could consider Jeremy Maclin

Sat, 03 Jun 2017 11:34:45 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) could be an intriguing option for the Detroit Lions if the price is reasonable, in the opinion of MLive.com's Nate Atkins.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin should receive interest from multiple teams but would likely serve as the No. 3 receiver if he decided to sign with the Lions. Maclin had a down year in 2016 because he was dealing with injury but has been a solid receiver during his career. He has a chance to be a No. 3 fantasy receiver no matter where he signs.

Ravens | Baltimore could be Jeremy Maclin suitor

Sat, 03 Jun 2017 09:50:51 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) could be a target for the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley, who believes Baltimore would be the "perfect landing spot" for the 29-year-old receiver.

Fantasy Tip: Current Ravens offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg was Maclin's coordinator in Philadelphia for his first four seasons from 2009-12, and Baltimore could use the receiving help after losing sure-handed Dennis Pitta yesterday. With only Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman to battle, the Ravens may be one of the few teams able to give Maclin the No. 1 job and a chance to compete for a title. If he does become a Raven, he would likely maintain WR3 value in fantasy.

Fri, 02 Jun 2017 19:19:51 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Conley and WR Tyreek Hill should become Kansas City's top two receivers in 2017 following the release of WR Jeremy Maclin, according to beat writer Terez A. Paylor.

Fantasy Tip: Hill was already in the WR3 conversation because of his big-play ability, but Conley is now worth a look in the later rounds.

Chiefs | Jeremy Maclin released

Fri, 02 Jun 2017 16:45:25 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin was released Friday, June 2.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin had a down year in 2016 with 536 receiving yards and two touchdowns but should easily be able to find another team. Maclin could be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver depending on his team and his role. The Chiefs may go with Chris Conley and Tyreek Hill as their starting receivers for 2017. Hill was a playmaker during his rookie season and can be a No. 3 receiver in some leagues while Conley could be a late-round option in fantasy drafts.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin finished with nine yards on three catches in a 33-10 win over the Denver Broncos Sunday, Dec. 25.

Fantasy Tip: The Chiefs avoided Denver's stout corners by targeting Travis Kelce early and often, leaving Maclin and the rest of the receivers with little action. Expect better numbers from Maclin against San Diego in Week 17, and he could be make a solid flex play in deeper leagues.

Sun, 18 Dec 2016 19:59:46 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin posted six receptions for a team-high 82 yards on eight targets in the Week 15 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin's yardage total was a season best. Still, he has just one touchdown over the past nine games dating back to Week 1 and he should be treated more as a WR3 heading into Week 16 in most fantasy leagues.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) returned from a three-game absence and had one catch on three targets for 16 yards in a 21-13 win over the Oakland Raiders Thursday, Dec. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin's numbers should improve, but he wasn't having a great year before the injury, and the emergence of Tyreek Hill will cap his upside. You can hang on to Maclin, but he should be viewed as a WR4 for the time being.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin has missed nearly a month because of the injury but should have a solid role in the passing game against the Oakland Raiders. He has not posted great numbers this season but can be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option in most leagues.
