Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) practiced Saturday, Aug. 23. WR Brad Smith (undisclosed) also practiced.
Fantasy Tip: Maclin should be good to go for the next preseason game, though he may not play much in order to avoid risk of aggravation.
Thu, 21 Aug 2014 17:44:40 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) walked off the field under his own power after falling and clutching his right knee during the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 21.
Fantasy Tip: Maclin has had multiple knee injuries in the past, but the fact that he was able to walk off is a good sign. If healthy he could be in for a big season with DeSean Jackson departing in the offseason. Consider him a WR3 with nice upside.
Mon, 18 Aug 2014 10:51:43 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) participated in practice Monday, Aug. 18, after missing the second preseason game with a hamstring injury. He is expected to play in the third preseason game.
Fantasy Tip: It appears like Maclin should be ready for the start of the regular season unless he suffers a setback at some point. He should have a sold role in the passing game and likely will have more value in point-per-reception leagues. Maclin should be considered a No. 3 wide receiver in most leagues.
Mon, 18 Aug 2014 08:48:54 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper (foot) is practicing again Monday, Aug. 18.
Fantasy Tip: Cooper's rapport with Nick Foles last season vaulted him into WR3 status. Jeremy Maclin's return and the emergence of Zach Ertz may temper his targets a bit, though.
Mon, 18 Aug 2014 08:45:53 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 18.
Fantasy Tip: Maclin is a WR3 with some risk and upside.
Sun, 17 Aug 2014 08:41:42 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) will probably practice Monday, Aug. 17.
Fantasy Tip: The injury was not expected to keep Maclin out long, and should not effect his status on draft day. Maclin should be considered a WR3.
Fri, 15 Aug 2014 16:44:52 -0700
As expected, Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) is inactive for the preseason game Friday, Aug. 15, against the New England Patriots.
Thu, 14 Aug 2014 07:43:42 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) is out of practice Thursday, Aug. 14, and is unlikely to play in the second preseason game Friday, Aug. 15.
Fantasy Tip: Maclin's injury isn't considered serious. His absence should give Jordan Matthews another chance to impress the team after a disappointing showing in the first game. Maclin is a solid WR3. Matthews is a WR5 with upside if he wins the slot role.
Wed, 13 Aug 2014 09:23:48 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) was not able to finish practice Wednesday, Aug. 13, because of a hamstring injury. Maclin said the injury is not serious and hopes to play in the second preseason game. He also had ice on his surgically repaired knee but did not say if that was a precautionary move.
Fantasy Tip: It does not appear like Maclin will miss much time because of the injury. He is coming off a lost 2013 season but should be a solid part of the passing game this season. He should probably be considered a No. 3 wide receiver that will come off the board in the middle rounds.
Fri, 08 Aug 2014 21:12:32 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (legs) was able to start the preseason game against the Chicago Bears Friday, Aug. 8. He finished with one grab for 15 yards before departing.
Fantasy Tip: It was Maclin's first game action since Dec. 2012, and it was good to see him get game time after he missed some practice time earlier in the week. If he can return to his pre-injury form, he might be quite a steal on draft day for fantasy owners taking him in the later rounds.
Tue, 05 Aug 2014 15:47:39 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (legs) didn't take part in team drills Tuesday, Aug. 5, and it's the third time in four practices he's been limited. Maclin has soreness in his legs, and he said it has nothing to do with his knee injury from last year. Maclin said he's 100 percent sure that he will play in the preseason game against the Chicago Bears Friday, Aug. 8.
Fantasy Tip: Maclin's injury isn't serious. If he can stay healthy this year, it could be a real nice value pick in fantasy football drafts this year. Riley Cooper may find it tough to replicate his numbers from a season ago.
Mon, 04 Aug 2014 20:01:25 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (undisclosed) limped off the field Monday, Aug. 4, and participated in just one more play the rest of practice. Maclin said he expects to be back at practice Tuesday, Aug. 5.
Fantasy Tip: At least this injury appears to be minor, but injuries remain the biggest concern with Maclin. If healthy, he is set to be the top target in Chip Kelly's high-powered offense and has WR2 potential. However, it is a safer strategy to draft him as a WR3 because of the injury concerns.
Tue, 17 Jun 2014 19:31:45 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) has been working without restrictions since the team began practicing this spring. Maclin is recovering from a torn ACL in his right knee that he suffered last July, and he has not experienced any setbacks since he began practicing. "I've done everything since April 21st, when we were able to get out here as a team," Maclin said. "I've been getting better each and every day, and I'm really happy with my progress."
Fantasy Tip: With DeSean Jackson getting shown the door in the offseason, Maclin should step into a sizeable role in Chip Kelly's high-powered offense. Granted, he has already torn his ACL twice, so there is some injury risk involved, but if he stays on the field, Maclin is definitely worthy of a starting spot on fantasy rosters.
Sat, 07 Jun 2014 06:51:43 -0700
The Philadelphia Eagles fully expect Jeremy Maclin (knee) to be ready to go for the start of the 2014 season, according to general manager Howie Roseman. "I think it depends on the player. We saw Adrian Peterson come back after six months, and did he win the MVP award after that? So I think it depends on the genetics. And all I know is what our doctors are telling us, and he's doing a great job in his rehab. We fully expect him to be ready to go once the season starts."
Mon, 02 Jun 2014 23:27:42 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) fell to the ground holding his left knee during OTA events on Monday, June 2. While Maclin tore the ACL in his right knee last year, causing him to miss the entire season, this incident left him clutching his left knee. Maclin quickly got to his feet, and later noted that he felt fine.
Fantasy Tip: This would have been a disaster had Maclin done any damage to the left knee. For now things look okay, but keep in mind Maclin is coming back from right-knee issues and could be slow to return. Still, with DeSean Jackson's departure Maclin will be the top receiver on the squad if healthy.
Fri, 30 May 2014 06:33:55 -0700
The Philadelphia Eagles' organized team activities have displayed their intent to move a lot faster and increase the amount of plays run, in the observation of Nick Fierro. They were quick in moving to the line of scrimmage even before the whistle blew. "We're just running as many reps as we can so we can get it on tape and teach them," head coach Chip Kelly said. "... What we're trying to do is, can we get a maximum number of reps for everybody, because we do have three and four groups, both offensively and defensively? Let's just get a lot of stuff on tape so we can teach off it."
Fantasy Tip: Of course, such an overwhelming pace allowed the offense to dominate last year before they fell apart, for numerous reasons. Of course LeSean McCoy should have another elite year, but the other fantasy-relevant members of this offense in their second year with this system -- Nick Foles, Jeremy Maclin (despite his injury), Riley Cooper, Zach Ertz -- could be in line for huge steps forward with this continuity.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) said he is fully recovered from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Maclin said if training camp started today, he would be a full go and have no limitations.
Fantasy Tip: Maclin is poised to play a big role in Chip Kelly's offense in 2014 if he can stay healthy. Maclin is likely a No. 3 wide receiver with plenty of upside.
Thu, 27 Mar 2014 16:21:32 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) is on schedule in terms of his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Kelly said he is not sure if Maclin will be able to participate in offseason workouts but should be 100 percent by training camp.
Fantasy Tip: Maclin has not had much time in Chip Kelly's offense because of his injury but should have a solid role on offense in 2014. Owners should consider Maclin as a No. 3 wide receiver with some upside as he moves on from his injury.

Fri, 28 Feb 2014 12:46:24 -0800
The Philadelphia Eagles re-signed WR Jeremy Maclin to a one-year contract Friday, Feb. 28. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Fri, 21 Feb 2014 16:57:32 -0800
The Philadelphia Eagles have decided re-signing impending free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin will be a bigger priority than re-signing impending free-agent WR Riley Cooper. The team could be interested in bringing Cooper back if they are not able to find another option.

Sat, 25 Jan 2014 18:10:27 -0800
The Philadelphia Eagles have exclusive rights to re-sign WRs Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin (knee) before March 11. The 2014 NFL Draft has a group of underclassmen who could make the 2014 NFL Draft the deepest at the receiver position in years, and that could affect how the club approaches re-signing Cooper and Maclin. However, a pool of coaches, executives, scouts and agents suggested the team is likely to retain both players unless they opt to test the market.

Sat, 18 Jan 2014 18:28:20 -0800
The Kansas City Chiefs could pursue impending free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (Eagles) (knee) during the offseason, especially if he accepts a one-year deal. Maclin is familiar with head coach Andy Reid, who drafted him when he was head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy Tip: Maclin is also a local product, having played his college ball at the University of Missouri, so this could be a good fit. The Chiefs are desperate for a big-time playmaker at wide receiver, and if Maclin proves his knee is sound, he could fit that bill. It is interesting, and worth watching during the offseason.
Mon, 13 Jan 2014 13:46:27 -0800
Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) said he would be willing to accept a one-year deal from a team this offseason because he knows some teams may be worried about the torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered. "For a team that wants to give me a one-year deal, that's cool, I'll just go out there and ball out, do the things I think I can do. Hopefully get that type of deal I'm looking for. If a team wants to give me a long-term deal, I'll go out there and still do the same thing," Maclin said. Maclin said his representatives have had talks with the Eagles but is not sure if he will return.
Fantasy Tip: Maclin's value for next season likely will depend on how he is able to recover from his torn anterior cruciate ligament. Another factor in terms of value will be which team he will sign with during the offseason.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) said he is ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation from a season ending knee injury. Maclin said he is frustrated about missing the year, and head coach Chip Kelly's offense. "Just knowing the type of success I could have had in this offense and the extra quality I could have brought to this team - that's the most frustrating part," Maclin said. "I'm one of the guys that can move around and be put in different spots. Sat, 27 Jul 2013 14:32:09 -0700
The Philadelphia Eagles confirmed reports that WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Fantasy Tip: This will effectively end Maclin's season. Riley Cooper reportedly stepped into his place during practice but probably isn't a better fantasy option than Arrelious Benn (knee) and Jason Avant if all three are healthy. The tight ends could see more targets, but the mix remains complicated with Brent Celek, Zach Ertz and Clay Harbor, and it could be a fantasy mess. This also removes a weapon from either Nick Foles or Michael Vick.
Sat, 27 Jul 2013 12:45:05 -0700
Updating an earlier report, the Philadelphia Eagles fear WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) tore his anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his knee upon first examination. He's undergoing an MRI.
Sat, 27 Jul 2013 12:09:13 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) was carted off the field Saturday, July 27, and he believes he tore his anterior cruciate ligament.
Fantasy Tip: Losing Maclin would be a big blow to the Eagles offense. Arrelious Benn or Jason Avant would step into his spot, which would be a significant downgrade. Avant could keep some stability to the offense as a good possession receiver with DeSean Jackson opening things up downfield. However, Avant would serve as little more than a matchup or flex receiver. Jackson's value takes a hit as defenses will likely key in on him with extra coverage. Jackson still serves as a good No. 2 fantasy receiver.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin is not going to let his contract become an issue, and is ready to prove what he is worth on the field. Maclin said he is aware of some of the other contracts players are signing.
