Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) said he is ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation from a season ending knee injury. Maclin said he is frustrated about missing the year, and head coach Chip Kelly's offense. "Just knowing the type of success I could have had in this offense and the extra quality I could have brought to this team - that's the most frustrating part," Maclin said. "I'm one of the guys that can move around and be put in different spots. The fact that I played inside in college and have the quickness to play there and I've got the size and speed to play outside."

The Philadelphia Eagles confirmed reports that WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Fantasy Tip: This will effectively end Maclin's season. Riley Cooper reportedly stepped into his place during practice but probably isn't a better fantasy option than Arrelious Benn (knee) and Jason Avant if all three are healthy. The tight ends could see more targets, but the mix remains complicated with Brent Celek, Zach Ertz and Clay Harbor, and it could be a fantasy mess. This also removes a weapon from either Nick Foles or Michael Vick.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) was carted off the field Saturday, July 27, and he believes he tore his anterior cruciate ligament.
Fantasy Tip: Losing Maclin would be a big blow to the Eagles offense. Arrelious Benn or Jason Avant would step into his spot, which would be a significant downgrade. Avant could keep some stability to the offense as a good possession receiver with DeSean Jackson opening things up downfield. However, Avant would serve as little more than a matchup or flex receiver. Jackson's value takes a hit as defenses will likely key in on him with extra coverage. Jackson still serves as a good No. 2 fantasy receiver.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin said he is expecting to be more involved in the team's offense in 2013. Maclin believed that the previous offense was tailored around WR DeSean Jackson. "There's two ways you can run the West Coast Offense," Maclin said. "You can run it where the flanker position, you can put him in the slot, put him in motion, or you can tailor it around a single receiver who's always by himself. And when Marty was here, we tailored it around the flanker position. That's just how it was."

Philadelphia Eagles WRs DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant and Damaris Johnson are considered locks to make the team. One or two more spots will be filled by Riley Cooper, Arrelious Benn, Ifeanyi Momah, B.J. Cunningham and Russell Shepard.
Fantasy Tip: Benn could be a better keep than Cooper because he can play the slot and outside along with his return experience. Either way, the wide receivers in Chip Kelly's system take a hit from past years in Andy Reid's. Jackson and Maclin are merely WR3s, and these depth players aren't as attractive as fantasy flyers anymore.
