|Eagles | Sam Bradford out for preseason opener|
Fri, 14 Aug 2015 09:10:37 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will not play in the preseason opener Sunday, Aug. 16, while QB Mark Sanchez will start. Bradford is expected to play in the second preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens. "That's my decision," Kelly said. "He really wants to play. I don't think he's really happy with my decision. I just felt he's been out here for two weeks, done a really nice job. He'll get his first work against the Ravens when we get a chance to train with them for a couple days before we play, and he'll play in the Ravens game."
Fantasy Tip: Bradford is a QB2 with some upside in this offense if he's the starter.

|Eagles | Mark Sanchez trailing in QB competition|
Tue, 11 Aug 2015 18:17:46 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez has fallen far behind QB Sam Bradford in the competition for the starting job. Bradford has spent nearly 90% of the time with the first-team offense, while Sanchez has received the other 10% of the reps since training camp started.
Fantasy Tip: Sanchez did perform adequately after replacing Nick Foles last season, and he earned himself a two-year contract before the Eagles traded Foles to the St. Louis Rams for Bradford. Even if Sanchez doesn't open the season as the starter, he could see starts later in the season if Bradford suffers an injury, or if the Eagles simply want to make a change.

|Eagles | Sam Bradford taking first-team reps|
Tue, 04 Aug 2015 09:44:42 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is taking the first-team repetitions at quarterback during training camp ahead of QB Mark Sanchez. Sanchez is Bradford's primary competition after returning from his second anterior cruciate ligament injury of his career. Bradford has made a strong early impression on head coach Chip Kelly.
Fantasy Tip: There is obviously a lot of risk in selecting Bradford for your fantasy football team this fall as a backup, but in this high-powered offense, he has plenty of upside as a strong QB2 option if he can stay on the field.

|Eagles | Mark Sanchez holding workouts|
Fri, 10 Jul 2015 09:40:16 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez is hosting workouts in San Diego with teammates. RB Darren Sproles, RB Ryan Mathews, WR Jordan Matthews, QB Matt Barkley, QB/WR G.J. Kinne, WR Quron Pratt, WR Rasheed Bailey, WR Seyi Ajirotutu and TE Andrew Gleichert were in attendance.
Fantasy Tip: Sanchez is likely to take a backseat once Sam Bradford returns to health, but he's not going to make it easy. Sanchez doesn't have as much upside as Bradford, but he'd be a midrange QB2 if he is able to nab the starting job.

|Eagles | Mark Sanchez ready for QB battle|
Tue, 09 Jun 2015 22:06:30 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez said Tuesday, June 9, he is looking at the quarterback battle as an open competition. He has already worked with many of the young receivers and tight ends before, in games. "We're all going to individually compete," Sanchez said, "and the best guy is going to play."
Fantasy Tip: It remains uncertain whether Sanchez or Bradford will win the starting job, but even if Sanchez does not win he will have to be ready based on Bradford’s injury history.

|Eagles | Sam Bradford improving at OTAs|
Tue, 02 Jun 2015 11:08:05 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is participating in competitive drills as he and QB Mark Sanchez share first-team repetitions during organized team activities Tuesday, June 2. Bradford is rehabilitating from a torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered last season.
Fantasy Tip: Bradford is expected to start as long as he's fully healthy, but Sanchez isn't far behind. Whoever starts should be regarded as a QB2 in what should once again be a high-flying offense under head coach Chip Kelly.

|Eagles | Mark Sanchez wants to start|
Sat, 30 May 2015 10:27:53 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez is acting like he's the starter this offseason, despite the acquisition of QB Sam Bradford from the St. Louis Rams. "That's the only way I know how to play," Sanchez said. "Everybody wants to be the starter and I'm no different." Sanchez added that he's feeling better this offseason than he's ever felt, referring to his surgically repaired shoulder, and said he can only get better.
Fantasy Tip: Head coach Chip Kelly has already said there's an open competition at quarterback, so Sanchez will have his opportunities to prove himself as a starter. He's likely facing somewhat of an uphill battle against Bradford, however. It would be hard to imagine Bradford not starting unless Sanchez really outshines him or Bradford accrues another injury. Neither should be considered a starting fantasy quarterback for now.

|Eagles | Mark Sanchez could be best option for PHI|
Sat, 16 May 2015 16:26:04 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez could be the team's best bet for a starting quarterback. Sanchez went 4-4 after taking over as the starter last season, and finished the campaign with a career best 64.1 completion percentage. Sanchez has played all but one game during his six-year career, showing health that's lacked by the Eagles' other options.
Fantasy Tip: Sanchez will compete primarily with Sam Bradford for the starting job, but the fact that Sanchez was re-signed to a two-year $9 million contract indicates he's strongly in the hunt for the position. Even if Bradford wins the job, his extensive injury history certainly could leave a door open for Sanchez to emerge at some point during the 2015 season.

|Eagles | Mark Sanchez has chance to start in PHI|
Wed, 06 May 2015 12:34:33 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez believes he can still start this year. "Really just talking with [head] coach [Chip] Kelly and knowing I'm coming with the opportunity to compete for the starting job, that was important to me," Sanchez said.
Fantasy Tip: Sam Bradford is still the predominant favorite to start for the Eagles as long as he's healthy. In eight starts last season, Sanchez threw 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions -- not good enough to draft as a starting quarterback. Both Bradford and Sanchez should be considered backups and/or bye-week replacements.
