Baltimore Ravens OT Eugene Monroe is ready to start at left tackle and make his team debut in Week 6. He sat out in Week 5 as he was attempting to learn the team's playbook after being traded from the Jacksonville Jaguars. "He did a heck of a job this week. He looks good," head coach John Harbaugh said. Monroe was a full participant in practice this week. OT Bryant McKinnie (knee) will be allowed to rest; he had swelling in his knee and had it drained.

The Baltimore Ravens have not had any contract extension talks at this point with OT Eugene Monroe but will evaluate his play and could attempt to sign him to an extension before he becomes a free agent in the offseason.

The Cleveland Browns were willing to trade a second-day pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars for OT Eugene Monroe and take on the rest of his contract, but the Jaguars completed a trade with the Baltimore Ravens for Monroe. The Browns valued Monroe as a long-term answer at right tackle.

Monroe will eventually become the starting left tackle either this week or next week.
