New York Giants LB Aaron Curry admitted that the money he earned as a high draft pick changed him and he lost his motivation, ultimately leading to his trade from the Seattle Seahawks. "Early in my career, I was just selfish and self-centered," Curry said Wednesday, May 22. "I was more about me than I was the Seahawks at the time. I was more focused on my own desires versus the franchise and the team. It was immaturity, and I'm glad I got past that stage."

New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese said he does not see much risk with the signing of LB Aaron Curry and hopes that Curry can reinvent himself with the Giants. "It's an opportunity for him. If he comes on and he looks like the player that he was when he was the fourth pick in the draft, it's a win-win for everybody. Sometimes a guy can go to a new environment and reinvent himself. We're hoping that's what happens with him," Reese said. Curry currently weighs 265 pounds, which Reese said is about 10 pounds more than his playing weight.
