Boston Red Sox RP Koji Uehara showed encouraging signs in his extended bullpen session Tuesday, Sept. 9. Uehara will pitch in lower leverage situations during the team's series against the Kansas City Royals, which begins Thursday, Sept. 11. Uehara is expected to return to the closer role before the season is over.

The Boston Red Sox placed RP Koji Uehara, 1B Mike Napoli, 1B/OF Daniel Nava and 3B Will Middlebrooks on revocable trade waivers.

Fantasy Tip: There's a chance one of them will be traded, so NL-only players might have another commodity to buy soon. If Uehara is dealt, expect Junichi Tazawa to take over save chances for Boston. Grab him if you can for this possibility.

The Washington Nationals had a scout in attendance at the Boston Red Sox's games this weekend, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal. The scout was on his usual coverage, but the Nats also had their top evaluators in Boston the previous weekend, and SP Jon Lester pitched in both series. It's unlikely Washington is looking at RPs Andrew Miller or Koji Uehara.

Fantasy Tip: Until the Red Sox rest him or news gets out about a specific ailment that Uehara is dealing with, you shouldn't be worried. Stick with him.
